Hidenori Kusaka (Japanese: 日下秀憲 Kusaka Hidenori, born May 18, 1970 in Tokyo) is a manga author best known for writing the Pokémon Adventures series. He has also authored two Pokémon Ranger series manga and several "walkthrough comics".
Hidenori Kusaka became successful with the Pokémon Adventures manga about the time it was released. It is one of the most widely known and translated Pokémon manga series worldwide.
Kusaka also acted as an advisor for Miho Asada's manga Phantom Thief Pokémon 7, coming up with the name for the manga and the name of main character Hiori.
In 2016, Kusaka and Yamamoto were both awarded the Comic-Con International's Inkpot Award.[2] Later that year, they were also awarded the Mejor Kodoma Manga award in the XXII Salón del Manga de Barcelona.[3]

Trivia
- Fisherman Wilton is also named Hidenori in Japanese. He appears in the games and is also a supporting character in the Pokémon Adventures manga.
- In the X & Y arc of Pokémon Adventures, Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto have their names written as "Hidenori Xsaka and Satoshi Yamamoto" (including the bold letters) at the start of the manga volumes.
