Iron Fist (Japanese: てつのこぶし Iron Fist) is an ability introduced in Generation IV. Only one Pokémon has this ability.

Effect

Iron Fist causes the Base Power of affected punching moves to increase by 20%.

Trivia

  • Interestingly, despite Hitmonchan being the only Pokémon able to have this ability, Dizzy Punch, a move that Hitmonchan cannot legally have in Generation IV, receives the bonus. Hitmonchan was, however, able to have the move if it was known by it as a Tyrogue hatched from the Odd Egg in Pokémon Crystal.
  • Sucker Punch is not boosted by Iron Fist, since it is originally "Ambush" in Japanese.
