(Japanese: タマンタ Tamanta) is a new Generation IV Pokémon - revealed in March 2006 alongside Buoysel and Perap - that will appear in the upcoming movie, Pokémon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea: Manaphy. It is the pre-evolved form of Mantine.
Tamanta's height is 1 meter (3'3") and its weight is 65 kilograms (143 lbs.).
Name origin
Tamanta is a combination of tama, the Japanese word for ball, and manta.
Tamanta is based on a baby manta ray.
