The Fire-ing Squad! (Japanese: もえろゼニガメだん!ほのおのように!! Burn, Zenigame Squad! Like a Fire!) is the 147th episode of the Pokémon anime. It was first broadcast in Japan on May 11, 2000 and in the United States on April 21, 2001.
Synopsis
Template:Incomplete synopsis Our friends have stopped at a Pokémon Center. Ash calls Professor Oak, he’s going to send his Tauros back. Professor Oak says that’s okay, but he wants to keep Heracross a while longer. Ash tells Heracross to do whatever the Professor tells it. Nurse Joy complements Ash on taking such good care of his Pokémon. Brock flirts with her, but she says she has to examine more Pokémon for the upcoming Fire and Rescue Grand Prix and she goes, leaving Ash wondering what the Grand Prix is...

Trivia
- This episode's dub title is a reference to a Firing Squad.
- The scene where Brock asked what Squirtle had to do with Team Wartortle mirrors when Tracey asked what Squirtle's sunglasses were for in The Pokémon Water War. This time Misty filled in what Brock had missed where as Ash filled Tracey in.
Errors
- Brock says Aidan's name along with Ash and Misty when they first see him, however, the two had never met before.
- At the end of the episode the Narrator says about Ash and his friends. "As they continue their journey to Johto, they look forward to the new friends and new memories that lie ahead" which doesn't make any sense as they are already in Johto.
Dub edits
- An instrumental version of the Kanto Pokérap is used as background music.
