Glaceon (Japanese: グレイシア Glacia) is an Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It evolves from Eevee when it is leveled up on Route 217.

Physiology
Glaceon is a fox-like creature covered in light-blue fur. The fur is actually frozen into sharp quills, but one can't really tell by just looking. Glaceon appears to be wearing a Sherpa cap on its head. Glaceon's ears, two spots on its back, tail end and cap-endings are all rhombus-shaped.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Glaceon can use any attack that Eevee knows with the addition of Template:Type2 attacks. As a fully evolved Pokémon, Glaceon can learn Hyper Beam and Giga Impact. In addition to that, it can also freeze its fur to make it stand up like needles - similar to its evolutionary kin, Jolteon.

Trivia
- Glaceon's Japanese name is the same as the English name of a member of the Hoenn Elite Four.
- Glaceon is tied with Jolteon for the shortest Eeveelution.
- Glaceon and Espeon are the only Eeveelutions that share the same highest base stat: Special Attack. However, Espeon has a higher Speed stat while Glaceon has a higher Defense stat.
- Glaceon also has the highest Special Attack stat of any Template:Type2 Pokémon.
- Glaceon is one of only four pure Template:Type2 Pokémon; the others are Snorunt, Glalie, and Regice.
- On that note, Glaceon is the only pure Ice-type Pokémon not introduced in Generation III.
- Although Glaceon can freeze its fur to make it stand up like needles, it cannot launch them at adversaries in the form of a Pin Missile as Jolteon can.
- According to the Diamond and Pearl Pokédex, Glaceon and Leafeon have identical footprints.
- In Pokémon Battle Revolution, Glaceon does not not open its mouth to use fang attacks such as Ice Fang.
Origin
Glaceon is based on an Arctic fox.
Name origin
Its name may be derived from the French glace, meaning ice, or from the word glacier, a large, slow moving mass of ice. The -eon suffix, common to all Eevee evolutions, comes from Eevee's prototype English name and possibly refers to the ending suffix of evolution itself.

- French: Givrali - From givre (frost). Ends with -li like every Eeveelution in French.
