Gilbert

Gilbert (Japanese: ゲンキ Genki) is a Pokémon Trainer who competed in the preliminary rounds of the Ever Grande Conference. His English voice actor is Anthony Salerno and his Japanese voice actor is 小西克幸 Katsuyuki Konishi.

In Saved by the Beldum, Gilbert was up against Ash during the preliminary rounds. Using his Hitmonlee, he was determined to defeat Ash's Pikachu. However, Pikachu's speed caused his Pokémon's Hi Jump Kicks to miss and injure its leg. He was able to gain a slight advantage when Hitmonlee used Mega Kick on Pikachu, but the Template:Type2 Pokémon ended up losing the battle. With that loss, Gilbert was out of the tournament.

Hitmonlee was used in the preliminary round against Ash's Pikachu. It put up a good fight but it suffers a loss, eliminating Gilbert out of the tournament. Hitmonlee's known moves are Hi Jump Kick, Mega Kick and Rolling Kick.
