Trivia
- Signal Beam is the only Platinum move tutor move that requires each kind of shard to learn. All others require two or three types of shard.
- Despite being a Template:Type2 move, the majority of Pokémon that learn this move lack any Bug typing.
- The Bug typing is probably a reference to fireflies and that this move was originally Volbeat's signature move.
