Volume 30 is the thirtieth volume of the Pokémon Adventures manga authored by 日下秀憲 Hidenori Kusaka and illustrated by 山本サトシ Satoshi Yamamoto. It is the first volume in the Diamond & Pearl arc.
In VIZ Media's translation, this volume is published as volume one of a second series, "Pokémon Adventures: Platinum".

Translation edits
VIZ Media has started a "second series" with this volume, publishing the Diamond & Pearl arc concurrently with older volumes from the Gold, Silver & Crystal arc, using this volume as #1 of the second series. Although it is unknown why they decided to release a second series (most likely to catch up with the series quicker), the reason behind why they are calling their issue of the Diamond & Pearl arc "Platinum" (unlike in Japan, where D/P and Platinum are two separate chapters entirely) is most likely due to the fact of another series Viz released, which they titled "Diamond and Pearl Adventure!", having too close of a name to "Pokémon Adventures Diamond & Pearl". (what they most likely would have called the series prior)
