Trivia
- Landlos has the highest Special Attack of all Ground-type Pokémon.
- Landlos has a few traits shared with Rayquaza:
- They are apparent masters of their own trio.
- They have a higher base stat total than the other members of their respective trios.
- They are both Flying-type legendary Pokémon.
- In HeartGold and SoulSilver, Rayquaza will only appear if both Groudon and Kyogre caught in Embedded Tower are in the same HeartGold or SoulSilver game. Likewise, Landlos will only appear if both Tornelos and Voltolos are in the same Black or White game.
- Landlos is one of four Pokémon immune to one of its own types without the aid of an ability. He shares this trait with Gligar, Gliscor and Maggyo.
- Coincidentally, they are all Ground-type.
- Despite being Flying-type, Landlos does not learn any Flying-type moves by level up. The only Flying-type move he can learn is Fly, via HM.
Origin
Landlos is based on the Inari, the kami of fertility.
Name origin
The name Landlos is from ランド, land.
