(Japanese: ズルッグ Zuruggu) is a dual-type Dark/Fighting Pokémon introduced in Generation V.
It evolves into Zuruzukin starting at level 39.
Biology
Physiology
Zuruggu is a bipedal lizard-like Pokémon. Its oval-shaped eyes are set to the sides of its head, and its teeth are like those of Croagunk. It sports a small red scale on its yellow head. Below the yellow portion of its head, its body is cream-colored, with thin arms and a red, scaled belly. It carries its yellow, molted skin around its legs, making them resemble pants, although some of the skin seems to trail off to form or cover a tail.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Zuruggu has a rubbery pelt that reduces the damage Zuruggu takes from attacks, as well as a very thick cranium.
Behavior
Zuruggu raises its pelt to its neck for defense. Zuruggu will attack any foe that so much as meets its gaze with a Headbutt.

Trivia
Origin
Zuruggu appears to be based on a sort of lizard. In addition, with its moulted skin "pants", Zuruggu seem to encapsulate stereotypes of youth subcultures of the past several decades, namely hip hop or punk.
Name origin
Zuruggu's name may come from zuruzuru the act or sound of dragging. It could also mean loose, both meanings referring to its baggy "pants".
