Movie 11?

Sould we add something about the 11th Pokémon movie on to the page? Wikipedia already has an article about it and they also have a picture of Regigigas tearing up the ground --Ryguy

I guess something about the movie should be added to this article. Given how little information there is, however, I'm wary about starting an article for it already. --Pie ~ 17:34, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Mewtwo Returns

What about this movie? Why isn't it mentioned? File:Ani448MS.gifJmathFile:Ani447MS.gifTalkFile:Ani448MS.gif 15:40, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

TV special in Japan, direct to video (VHS and DVD) in America.
Additionally, Mewtwo Returns is mentioned under the "Long specials" heading. --Shiningpikablu252 17:29, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Yep. MR is more comparable to LOT than it is to MSB. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 22:43, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Posters

Shouldn't the American ones be here? This is an english wiki. Porygon-Z 22:47, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Do American posters even exist? The movies don't air in cinemas outside Japan these days. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 17:26, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Maybe DVD boxart instead? TTEchidna 03:58, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Canon, canon, canon...

Why the heck would they not be canon? Right there, it says that several have been referenced. It's like saying May's Venusaur could still be a guy because we don't know if the seed in the flower could mean it's a dude in the anime. Has every past episode been referenced? No. Some have been outright IGNORED. Does that mean those didn't happen, either? TTEchidna 16:35, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

With movie 8 blatently having an effect on the main protagonist that carries over into the series, I really don't see how people can argue that they aren't canon. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 16:58, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
It's likely because there are no new captures which happen in the movies. It's like, do people think they would ever do that? Have one episode where Ash is like "OKAY CHIMCHAR, TIME TO GO!" and then the next, it's suddenly a Monferno. The movies aren't free, the show's on TV... which is kinda free. TTEchidna 01:15, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
So, what's our ruling here? Should we mention that some fans consider the movies to be non-canon because they're hardly mentioned in the show, but not say outright that they aren't? Should we say "the movies are canon, you idiots!" and blow the whole section? TTEchidna 03:58, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
I somewhat agree. I'd say that they are canon. Also, about your statement about how they can't have movie references in the anime due to the movies "Not being free", it doesn't exactly explain how Aura was carried over from the 8th movie into the anime, how Ash recognized Lucario, Ash and James referencing the Orange Islands Lugia, The Space-Time Tower's cameo, the scenes from the first movie being incorporated into the anime, Drew's hometown, the Deoxys special reference, and all that. Weedle Mchairybug 18:07, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
References like Aura are different from a Pokémon evolving. TTEchidna 20:04, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Movie 12

There is supposed to be a preview of movie 12 next week it shows a preveiw here [1] wait till the end it says the went to some anceint ruins possibly greece? seems like the perfect place for arceus considering the appearance of the spear pillarTsg812 15:34, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

I considered Arceus in that movie possibly, but now is a fact. However, we still have to wait official sources --Nick. 03:10, 6 October 2008 (UTC)}
Should we create this page now? Something like "Pikachu Project 2009", the 11th movie article was created in August, now we are in October and I think that we have enough information... --Nick. 23:09, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
TTE said to wait until at least Thursday.--Coolピカチュウ! 23:15, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Uh, ok... but... why the Thursday? --Nick. 23:25, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
A new episode of Pokémon premieres every thursday, like in America it premieres in English on Cartoon network every Saturday~Ποκεμανιακα0β 23:26, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Not sure I'll tell him later on AIM.--Coolピカチュウ! 23:32, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I know that, but this Thurday we won't have new episode. --Nick. 15:46, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

The official web has been updated with the new movie... I think it's time --Nick. 15:41, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

It's probably still a little early for the article but I added what we know to this page. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 16:33, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

No Bias Please!

Isn't it a bit biassed to say that the movies have recently increased in quality? I thought this was supposed to be an encyclopedia! (Anyway, I thought Pokémon Heroes was much better than The Rise of Darkrai! Taromon 777

Prev next

Wouldn't it be easier to navigate if the movies were linked to each other, similar to the Pokemon pages? Jmath 07:50, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

It definitely would be, in my opinion. 0° 20:38, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Since the movie pages have all been renamed, how about linking the pages together? J-J-M 15:02, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

DVD info

I'm not sure if this even has any importance, but since this *is* an encyclopedia of sorts... The US DVD releases of movies 4, 5, 6, and 7 are dual-layer disks, while every other movie and/or special I've seen is just SL (and I know for certain about all of them except LOT and GSW) of the. Should there perhaps be a mention of this? I'm also slightly baffled as to why this is, but that's the way it is, I guess. - unsigned comment from TheCakeIsALie (talkcontribs)

I'm sure that can be worked in somewhere. —darklordtrom 08:36, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

MOVIE 13

Theres already a trailer for movie 13, shouldn't we make an article? Kamus 17:56, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

There was an article for it, called "Pikachu Project 13" or something like that, but I think it got removed for some reason. Taromon777 18:55, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

I know that the trailer for the 13th movie was only viewable for audiences who saw the pre-release version of arceus: towards a conquering of time-space in japan, so we have to wait for after the release of HGSS, but if the trailer is somewhere online, provide a link.--Nobody777 11:49, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

I find it hard to believe that no one would have linked to this yet... but the trailer can be found here. It's not great quality (and neither are the other versions of it I could find), but at this point a cam feed is pretty much all we're going to get. (My apologies if this had already been posted and discussed elsewhere.)
I find it interesting that they used the "Diamond&Pearl&Platinum" logo that they used for the eleventh movie... did they use that for the twelfth also? 梅子 17:54, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
lol never mind. They did use that logo in the initial trailers for movie 12. 梅子 18:01, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

The official site updated with the teaser trailer for Movie 13. [2] We should probably get an article for this made up soon. J-J-M 14:10, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Running Time

I was wondering if we include the run time of pokemon movies. If we do already I apologise but I cant seem to find it anywhere and I think it would be helpful to include it for anyone planning to watch one of the movies to quickly see how long it will last. What do you think? --Klydefrog 10:10, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Sounds good. Work it into the first couple of paragraphs. —darklordtrom 01:19, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Canon, again

Seriously. Who doesn't think the movies are canon? Is there anyone out there? TTEchidna 07:21, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

To my mind the wording is fairly weak so it's kind of a non-issue. Someone wrote the section in the first place therefore there is someone out there who doesn't believe or doubts that they are canon thus it should remain. Also we are not here to pass down rulings on truth unless there has been any official confirmation one way or another. So it should remain as it is, a neutral account of a fandom argument representing both sides equally allowing readers and fans to come to their own conclusions. My two cents, refunds available.--Beligaronia (talk) 07:39, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Pokémon Apokélypse

Does anyone know about Pokémon Apokélypse? If it even exists, shouldn't it be on the list since it is the first live action movie? SeanWheeler 00:36, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Oh wait, it's a fake? That shouldn't be allowed on Wikipedia. SeanWheeler 00:42, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Even fakes have some notability. It's a well made short film in the guise of a trailer. Perhaps we should even have an article about it here (not on this page, mind you; but if we can have pages on webcomics, we might ought to have a page on this little endeavor). --AndyPKMN 00:47, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
oh dear no, anything but that crap... Ataro 00:52, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Come on now, let's be reasonable. I think if Super Effective can have a page, this certainly deserves one. Regardless of your opinion on the film's quality, it was newsworthy when it was released (most fansites mentioned it in their news; I think even Bulbanews did), and there's certainly enough information to put into an article. --AndyPKMN 12:52, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Pretty sure Bulbanews didn't report it. —darklordtrom 11:25, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
I agree with AndyPKMN...it appears that Pokémon Apokélypse is quite the notable short film, approaching nearly 7 million views on YouTube, and currently being one of the most viewed videos related to Pokémon. I would say that Bulbapedia should at least have some article on it. Various prominent videogaming sites have even reported on it as well, such as Kotaku, GamesRadar, GameInformer, and Joystiq... Even Wikipedia has something on it, and they normally skimp on Pokémon species articles... If we can have articles referencing webcomics, fansites, fangames, and hacks, an article detailing this film project certainly wouldn't be out of the question. Fenyx4 11:30, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Aspect ratio

Can we keep a record of that? What versions were in what aspect ratio? Because that's actually useful information. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 13:39, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Movies Lenght

why the lenght of the movies isn't in the respective articles? I think this should be added. --SamuStar 20:36, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
