Shadow Force (Japanese: シャドーダイブ) is a very highly-damaging Ghost-type move introduced in Generation IV. The only circumstances in which it will not hit the foe are if the foe has used a move such as Dive or Fly, or if the foe is a Normal type. It will hit even if the foe has used Protect or Detect. Although Feint also hits if the foe has protected itself, Feint only works if the foe protected itself. Shadow Force hits either way.
