Trivia
- Professor Oak's Pokémon Live Caster: Heatmor
- This is the first time since Rocking the Virbank Gym! (Part 2) when Professor Oak has been seen narrating the Live Caster, since from the episode mentioned to the previous episode, it had been narrated by Team Rocket.
- This episode includes Ash cross-dressing, which he has done once in every past series (the previously occasions involved him dressing up to challenge the Celadon Gym, helping someone practice confessing feelings and serving at the Mountain Hut Maid Café).
- During this episode, Pikachu's tail is folded back into a heart shape to make him appear female marking the first time that the Pikachu gender difference has been acknowledged in the anime.
