"Cherrim, the only Pokémon to have this Ability, also changes forms in sunlight, from a closed flower to one with spread petals; however, this is not caused by Flower Gift."
I'm not sure if this is 100% true. Upon facing a Cherrim in battle in Gen V (where ability names show up on the screen when activated), I saw it use Sunny Day, and the ability Flower Gift showed up, followed by the text "Cherrim changed form." This makes me think that the form change is a direct result of the ability. [[User:Schiffy|Schiffy]] ([[User talk:Schiffy|talk]]) 14:26, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Smogon tested Flower Gift a long time ago, and found that it boosts Attack and Special Defense only. http://www.smogon.com/dp/abilities/flower_gift --Aniny 16:26, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
