Punishment (Japanese: おしおき Punishment) is a damage-dealing Dark-type move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
Punishment deals variable damage depending on the positive stat stages of the foe. Its damage is calculated by the following formula: File:Punishment formula.png , with a maximum base power of 200.
For example, if the target has used Bulk Up twice and Swords Dance once, there is a four-stage increase for the Attack stat and a two-stage increase in the Defense stat, making a total of six, which causes Punishment to have a base power of 180. Stats decreased below normal do not effect the base power. Accuracy and evasion are ignored.
