Trivia
- At the end of the volume, each Pokédex holder is shown with a summary of each of their Pokémon, illustrated with game sprites. For Red and Blue's Pokémon, their Generation I Pokémon are represented by sprites from Pokémon Red and Green. These sprites are also shown in the VIZ Media and Chuang Yi translations, despite that Red and Green were not released in those regions.
Localization
The VIZ Media release of this volume also includes the first chapter from Volume 15. This is because Round 180 is the final round of the Gold, Silver & Crystal arc and VIZ Media took a year and a half break before publishing the Ruby & Sapphire arc. This is not the first case of this in VIZ Media's history. Two chapters were moved out of Volume 17 of Dragon Ball in order to localize it as the first volume of Dragon Ball Z. Though they didn't do this with Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, where the last two chapters in Japanese volume 10 is the start of an arc, and where Viz started publishing only from Japanese volume 11 on.
