Sap Sipper (Japanese: そうしょく Herbivorous) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. Sixteen Pokémon can have this Ability.

Effect

In battle

When a Pokémon with Sap Sipper is hit with a Grass-type attack, its Attack is increased by one level, and the move itself has no effect. The only Grass-type move that will not activate Sap Sipper is Aromatherapy. The Pokémon's Attack will only increase one level if hit by Bullet Seed.

Outside of battle

Sap Sipper has no effect outside of battle.

Bouffalant When Bouffalant gets hit by a Grass-type move, it takes no damage, and simply repels the attack from its body, leaving its afro sparking with light green energy. Bouffalant then shakes the sparks away, increasing its Attack.
