Magician (Japanese: マジシャン Magician) is an Ability introduced in Generation VI. Five Pokémon can have this Ability.

Effect

In battle

When a Pokémon with Magician hits another Pokémon with a move, it will steal the held item of the Pokémon that it hit. Future Sight and Doom Desire do not activate the Ability. It cannot be used to steal a Griseous Orb from Giratina, a Plate from a Pokémon with Multitype, a Drive from Genesect, a Mega Stone from a Pokémon that can Mega Evolve using it, or an orb that is on Primal Groudon or Primal Kyogre.

Outside of battle

It is unknown if Magician has an effect outside of battle.
