The deck focuses on -type Pokémon with a special focus on Team Plasma-themed Pokémon, Trainers, and energy.

The feature card in the deck is a special Sheen Holofoil version of Moltres-EX from the Plasma Storm expansion. The deck also includes 8 holofoil Fire-type energy; which is similar to the other decks in the set. The series also focuses on the Eeveelution line with this deck containing both Flareon and Umbreon. The Moltres deck also includes exclusive non-holofoil versions of Infernape, Absol, and Umbreon.
