Norman's Slaking (Japanese: センリのケッキング Senri's Kekking) is Norman's main Pokémon in the anime and his most powerful Pokémon.
In the anime
History
Advanced Generation series
Slaking made its debut in Love, Petalburg Style!, in which it was staying in Norman's greenhouse with the rest of his Pokémon. It slept through nearly the entire episode.
Later, when Team Rocket destroyed a fireworks machine that Norman was keeping for his wedding anniversary, he flew into a rage and thus summoned Slaking from inside the greenhouse. On Norman's command, it charged at the terrified Team Rocket members and violently sent them blasting off with a powerful Focus Punch.
Norman later used it in the Gym battle against Ash in Balance of Power, where it was shown to be a powerful fighter. With its brute strength, it almost defeated Ash's Grovyle. However, when Grovyle's Overgrow Ability activated, it managed to gain the upper hand and Slaking was defeated.
It reappeared in flashbacks in Whiscash and Ash AG120, and Deceit and Assist.
Diamond & Pearl series
It was last seen being groomed by Max in one of May's flashbacks in A Full Course Tag Battle! and seen watching the finals of the Wallace Cup between May and Dawn, with Max, Norman and Caroline in Strategy With a Smile!.
Personality and characteristics
Unlike most Slaking, this Slaking appears to be very lively and active. This was shown when Norman called it over in order to send Team Rocket flying and during the Gym battle against Ash's Grovyle.

In the Pokémon Adventures manga
Salking first appeared in Brushing Past Breloom, where he was used to find the extra presence that Norman was sensing. Slaking uses Swagger to confuse them, but Ruby was unaffected due to Kiki's Safeguard.
In Hanging Around With Slaking I, Slaking is used to battle Ruby at the Weather Institute, easily overpowering Nana and Kiki. After being attacked from Mumu's Mud Shot, Norman has Slaking power up with Bulk Up. Slaking then rips out the stairs and places it and Ruby over a drop, keeping it stable while Norman talks to Ruby.
In Rayquaza Redemption I, Slaking is used alongside Spinda to help train Wally. The two battle against Wally's Kecleon and Flygon. While Slaking sits from laziness Kecleon hits Slaking with an Astonish while Flygon attacks with Sand Tomb. After the assault Norman has Spinda switch abilities with Slaking via Skill Swap. Slaking immediately follows up with a powerful Blizzard and the Wally is defeated from Spinda's Teeter Dance.
