Pikachu short

Pikachu shorts are anime shorts that feature almost exclusively Pokémon and chronicle miscellaneous adventures of Ash's Pikachu.

Categories of shorts

The shorts can roughly be sorted into the following categories:

• The "Pokémon: Short Films", which are shorts that aired theatrically together with a corresponding movie in Japan: PK01 with M01, PK04 with M02, PK07 with M03, PK10 with M04, PK11 with M05, PK12 with M06, PK24 with M15, PK25 with M16, PK26 with M17, and PK27 with M18. The first five shorts are occasionally included on home video releases with their corresponding movies.
• Shorts which were exclusive to ANA flights: PK13 in 2004, PK15 in 2005, and every Pikachu short from PK17 in 2006 until PK22 in 2011. These shorts were shown during the month of August exclusively on even numbered ANA flights. Only PK17 has been dubbed.
• The three "Pikachu's Winter Vacation" two-episode Christmas specials: PK02/PK03 in 1998, PK05/PK06 in 1999, and PK08/PK09 in 2000.
• The two "Pokémon 3D Adventure" shorts, which take advantage of 3D cinema technology: PK14 and PK16. Only the latter mentioned has been dubbed.
• The magazine bonus DVD: PK23.
