In the anime
An Icium Z was first seen in Not Caving Under Pressure!, where it was given to Lillie by an Alolan Sandslash after she had helped driving off a wild Tyranitar that had tried to take over the cave inhabited by Sandslash and a group of Alolan Sandshrew. In SM114, the Ultra Guardians used it, along with Ash's Normalium Z, Grassium Z, Rockium Z, Solganium Z, and Steelium Z, as bait for a Pheromosa.
A full set of type-specific Z-Crystals, including the Icium Z, appeared in SM109, where Hapu allowed Ash to choose his grand trial prize from them.
A full set of replicas of the type-specific Z-Crystals, including the Icium Z, appeared in A Team-on-Team Tussle!, where they were shown to Ash and his classmates by Professor Kukui.
