Talk pages for Robot Chicken skit guides: Pokémon Bloopers Pikachu Secret
The goal of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is to be just as international as Pokémon itself, and helping aspiring Pokémon wikis in languages we don't yet have is a great way to help achieve that goal. However, if we don't even know who the possible aspirers for Encyclopaediae Pokémonis's ninth language even are, there's no way any growth can take place. If you speak or understand a language that's currently not represented in Encyclopaediae Pokémonis and happen to find a wiki in that language with aspirations to join Encyclopaediae Pokémonis, then don't hesitate to drop me a line. Remember, an aspirier can't grow if they remain sheltered from the world!
If you understand Brazilian Portuguese, or know someone who does, then the Portuguese arm of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is in desperate need of your assistance. Many, if not all, of that wiki's articles are in dire need of improvement, be it massive cleanup or even adding some real content to begin with. Their sysops are never around to handle things, and their interwiki bot has done nothing since late September--of 2008. The fact that a trusted member of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis has fallen into such disrepair is disturbing, to say the least. Brazilians do not deserve quality this low. If you can help improve the Portuguese end, then I highly recommend you do so. Today.
Fan Fiction
I don't know what you mean by adding the wikilinks, I was just doing what I had seen other people do on their own pages. Besides, I know it's not proper, but I like it to be titled "Pokemon Unlimited" even with the wrong "e". I haven't really done much on it all and I just made the entire thing out of boredom during Christmas time. Again, are you saying I added links of my stuff onto actual pages? I don't remember doing such a thing because I know my stuff isn't real. Conanfan1412 05:17, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- The issue was that you put in a main namespace link for your fanfiction. Now, if you wanted to make something about the fanfic itself, the page would be best off as User:Conanfan1412/Pokemon Unlimited, not just "Pokemon Unlimited". Fanfiction is unacceptable in the main namespace, and all fanfiction articles in the main namespace are quickly deleted. I had to remove the links because those links caused your fanfic to jump to number 7 on the wanted pages in the last update. I hope you understand. --Shiningpikablu252 15:11, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
untemplate & such
Do you think you can finish Lime's template stuff, fix her sig, and fix the tags on her userpage? thanks!! MoldyOrange 00:29, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Just to note, it's one of the userboxes that's messing up Lime's page; I haven't narrowed down which one it is, but it's not the first one at least. (if you edit and remove all but one userbox, then show preview, the page unbreaks. Just need to remove the boxes one-by-one and show preview until you figure out which one's breaking it.)
- I took care of Lime's signature while I was at it, by the way, so no need to do that one. I'll let Lime know to fix her current signature as well, if she hasn't already. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 08:12, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- The faulty tag has been taken care of. --Shiningpikablu252 18:24, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
?!?!?!?!
I really don't think you should be doing that. Many of those articles are not prone to vandalism. Also, many of those articles are edited and need to be edited every day, like if a new episode is revealed and that Pokémon appears in it. It's like you're blocking nearly every user from editing the Pokémon Species. If you're doing that, you might as well do all 493 of them. Plus, this website has users that can undo them if they were vandalized. I suspect that this will lead to a downfall of the articlesPokeManiac102 19:49, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Check the logs again. As you'll see, the protection is listed as "[move=sysop]". Editing isn't being affected. In fact, this will give the fourth-generation Pokémon consistency with those from past generations in that regard. --Shiningpikablu252 19:55, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Protecting the pages from being moved. This whole wave of protection was sparked by a move-vandalism incident on Phione. That incident would not have happened had the fourth-generation Pokémon pages already been protected from being moved like the ones from the first three generations. Better late than never. --Shiningpikablu252 20:00, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's not actually all, folks. Of course, I'd better take a break before doing the same with the fourth-generation moves and abilities. --Shiningpikablu252 20:26, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Out of curiosity,
Who was the user that basically invented the Signature Template thing that brought our website to a decline?Pokemaniac102 02:35, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- There were some signature templates before then, but I'd place the blame for the current problem on Shiny Noctowl. Before he showed up, Bulbapedia's server problems were caused by very different conditions. When the new server came, it should have been smooth sailing from there on out before Shiny Noctowl started a trend of having people try to turn Bulbapedia into stuff it shouldn't be. --Shiningpikablu252 02:38, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, I never really liked Shiny Noctowl. Anyway, YES! I shortened my signature enough to have less than 255 characters. You may delete my Sig page and talk page as wellPokemaniac102 02:49, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Temporary Ban
Please may you temporarily block my account? So.. until the 10th June 2008? I'm entering the exam period and I am finding it hard to revise, because when I sit down to revise, I always see something that needs attention on Bulbapedia. I'm addicted to editing... XD So I would like to be banned temporarily, until my last exam is over (Astronomy on the ninth) so I can do well in my GCSE's. So I'm asking, is it possble to be temprarily banned? Thank you. Template:ElementalTypes
The template should be updated to how it is now, not how it was in retrospect. What you're suggesting is vandalism. Furthermore, Ghost and Poison belong in Special & Dark belongs in Physical. Please repair the template to the way it is supposed to be. --☯ *Ɣℯⲛօӎօṫհ* ☯ 21:11, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Retrospect is the only reason for even keeping the columns. If I were to make the edits you suggested, then there'd be three types in the wrong columns. Your request is denied. I'm protecting the template. --Shiningpikablu252 21:20, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- If you're going to make threats you may as well carry them out. I have half a mind to report you for that. --☯ *Ɣℯⲛօӎօṫհ* ☯ 21:44, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

- The way it was before is technically how it should stay just for the sake of organization. Plus, there are several non-special moves of the supposed still "special" types. It doesn't matter the majority status, it matters the prior status. Plus, look at the DP typelisting; they're broken up EXACTLY THE SAME. TTEchidna 00:54, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Out of use signature template?!?!
What is this?! My signature was deleted because of some out of use template thingy?! Could someone please explain what the heck is going on here??? Missingno. Master 22:07, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's because of the new signature policy. Signature templates are forbidden under the policy. All occurences of your signature template had been subst-ed until it was included in no pages, then your signature template was deleted. I suggest reading the new signature policy, then creating a new signature that conforms to it. --Shiningpikablu252 22:11, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh, OK. Why make a new policy, though? And why no images? "Glitch Pokémon. Official Pokémon. There is no real difference between the two. In my opinion, the two should be considered equal!"- quoted by Missingno. Master. 22:20, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- The policy was made due to the increasing amounts of distracting signatures and the increase of strain on the server caused by updates of signature templates. You're far from the only person affected by this. --Shiningpikablu252 22:23, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

- He showed no signs of stopping the flood of rumored names. We don't need skeleton articles at names that exist only in rumor, and since he knowingly ignored my warning, I had no choice but to hit hard. Besides, this probably sets me even with those who consider my one-month block on Enterthedragon for inserting offensive information to be too soft. --Shiningpikablu252 01:10, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
I've went ahead and shortened the block in question. The main number is still 6, but it's now weeks instead of months. --Shiningpikablu252 01:33, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

May's Beautifly
I see you protected May's Eevee and Munchlax pages, due to the fact that previews (and serebii) stated they have evolved. However, serebii has also stated that May now has her Beautifly back on her team (probably from episode descriptions or something, I dunno). I was wondering, wouldn't it make sense to protect Beautifly's page as well, before people try to edit it to reflect it's back with may? ^^; Myzou 01:36, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- There's no point in protecting every single article just because people may do it. That's just unnecessary. Jmath 11:05, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Nando's Krickitune
What else do you expect it to have evolved from? Tentomon? - Cassius335 12:17, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- Keep in mind, Nando may have caught it in the Kricketune stage and not as a Kricketot. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, as was the case for Gary's Blastoise and the starter trio of the Legend of Thunder main characters, we can't assume an anime character's Pokémon has been in a previous stage of evolution while with the character, no matter how likely it may be. --Shiningpikablu252 14:09, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Hmm?
We're going to need data for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 inserted into the side game sections on all the Pokémon pages, and you seem like just the man for the job! I would, but I have neither the resources nor the time right now. --ニョロトノ666 23:46, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't know if this would have any real merit (except on a matter of principle), but would you be interested in going through some of the User List and blocking users with crude usernames, such as Big dikdikdik? - Hentai143 - Implies something inappropriate, but I don't know if it warrants a block.

May Protection
Yd u protect May? Cassius just oesn't know what initial means an keeps reverting this:
- When May initially reappears as a guest character, she appeared in five episodes, compared to the two episodes Misty appeared in for her guest appearance during the Hoenn saga. However, Misty also appeared in four Pokémon Sunday/Chronicles specials, an option not available to May. Though Misty traveled with Ash from The Scheme Team to A Real Cleffa Hanger, they are different arcs, thus don't count towards initial reappearance episodes.
What's wrong with that? He keeps saying that I say they don't count because I don't ant them to. Could you please let the page be vulnerable again?--KukiTalk 18:46, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry. As far as I'm concerned, Cassius335's edit is how it should be. If you'd even bothered to read that version, you would have clearly seen that he DOESN'T consider Misty's Battle Frontier appearance as initial, which is what you were claiming.
- Additionally, even if I were to agree with you, I wouldn't be lifting the protection. We've had problems with a number of gun-jumpers recently trying to add information not 100% confirmed to pages, and given that May's Squirtle is supposedly to appear evolved in the next Japanese episode, odds are that the page probably might have ended up protected anyway for that reason. --Shiningpikablu252 18:50, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
So ur saying if May appears in lets say DP163 for another few episodes, those are included in the count with DP076-DP080 of her INITIAL guest appearances? That's what Cassius is trin 2 say about AG044-045 and AG132-134!--KukiTalk 18:56, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's not what either me or Cassius335 are saying. If we were to count initial guest appearance only, the correct action would be to cut out all of the other crap, both Misty's second arc appearance and the Chronicles appearances, NOT say that the other crap "doesn't count". --Shiningpikablu252 18:59, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Burmy, Shellos etc. - Forms
I'm still confused as to why the TCG card pages for Burmy, Shellos, Wormadam and Gastrodon only use their forenames and don't include their forms. Shellos East Sea and Shellos West Sea, for example, are different Pokémon - they need to be classified as such. That's how they're named on the cards and how POP classifies them. I know there's an issue there with Mothim, but it's simple: split Burmy (TCG) into three sections, allow Wormadam to link to the respective section, and Mothim to the whole page. Your thoughts? Rotom (TCG)
Hi there, can you sort this out for us? Check the page history to see what it is. I don't think that there should be any mention of a Psychic-type Rotom until (IF) it happens. Moldy Orange's argument is that it will happen and so it should be mentioned. I strongly disagree. There is absolutely no evidence that there will be a Psychic-type Rotom. Any ideas on what should be done about this? Cipher 11:23, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Rotom is far from the only one that has multiple types listed even though only one type has actually been used. For example, even though Tentacruel has only shown up as Water, there's always the possibility it could one day show up as Grass to reflect its Poison-typing. Dual-types (with the possible exception of the Flying-type) should always take both of their types into account, even if no cards of one of them have been printed. --Shiningpikablu252 19:13, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, then, I'll concede that (albeit very reluctantly). Oh, and given your comment about Tentacruel being a possible Grass-type due to Poison, and your edit remark on Croagunk (TCG), I'm left to assume that you're not aware that Poison-types have shifted from Grass to Psychic in the TCG? Hmm?
Should there be redirects to nonexistent pages? --ニョロトノ666 21:08, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- In reference to the Stunky and Munchlax MD redirects, yes, they should, because the pages will exist eventually. Cipher 21:15, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Nope. Redirects shouldn't be created until the target article exists. I'll let the broken redirects already created slide for now, though, since the targets are at high risk for creation. --Shiningpikablu252 21:16, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Problem
Check Empoleon (Diamond & Pearl 4). See what it says in the infobox for the image? The image apparently doesn't exist, although if you check the upload log on the archives, you'll find that I've uploaded it. Also, you'll notice that File:DPMagnezone doesn't exist on the archives, despite my uploading it, but does exist on Bulbapedia. It's just all one big picture-perfect mess. :D --ニョロトノ666 01:13, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- There's currently a few glitches preventing images from being seen properly on both sides of the Bulbapedia/Archives line. Your Empoleon image fell prey to such a glitch.
- As for your Magnezone problem, you didn't include the filename extension. I assume you meant Image:DPMagnezone.jpg? Bulbapedia does recognize that image as existing...--Shiningpikablu252 02:40, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Energy Template
Why is it necessary to write out "{{e|Colorless}}" instead of just "{{e}}" when both result in the same thing? --ニョロトノ666 20:17, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's customary to type out Colorless when referring to anything other than the Retreat Cost. It's been part of the style for a long time now.
- There actually is a difference between {{e|Colorless}} and just {{e}}-- displays "Colorless" when hovering over it, while displays a blank when hovering over it. --Shiningpikablu252 21:05, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Shall I...
...replace any other .gif rarity images I see? --ニョロトノ666 01:00, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- Template:Rar uses the PNG symbols. Go ahead. --Shiningpikablu252 01:04, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Theininen's block
Theininen just sent me an e-mail, apologizing for creating those game articles; here, let me simply copy+paste his e-mail contents.
- User:Shiningpikablu252 blocked me for "Inserting false information: Creating numerous articles about nonexistant Pokémon games". I had made 3 pages for the names in the article on Bulbanews, and he told me to stop, but I did not get his message to stop until after I had made a fourth. I was in the middle of typing an apology when he banned me, and as he has no contact info on his page, I couldn't apologize directly. After closely reviewing the manual of style, I found no rule mentioning this policy, but I will still admit that I was in the wrong, and would just like to come back on. Could you please tell him that I am sorry, and relay the gist of this message to him? If you have not gotten to read this message by 9:28 PM May 30, please ignore it, as I will be able to come back on myself.
From what I can see (looking through the logs and whatnot), he probably didn't get your warning until after he had saved the last page (I've had that happen once or twice to me.) I'm personally assuming good faith here, I don't think he was trying to be disruptive in any way. But that's merely my opinion; I'll leave it to you to decide for yourself if his ban is still needed. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:23, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for unblocking me!!!! And I meant what I said, I really am sorry about it, and will be more cautious about what I say in the future. Theininen 23:49, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Sorry
I gott too frustraited. i will never do it again. please send me information on how to make it look like that. Thanks, --Summersgilla 21:05, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Redirect
Why'd you delete Saphire? It seems like a basic misspelling, so I thought that it would be a decent redirect. I wasn't trying to bend it into anything. Theininen 01:21, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Redirection
When creating redirects for the Vending Machine cards, I discovered some broken links to Japanese Promotional cards and I think they are actually links referring to Unnumbered Promotional cards. Could you look into this for me? I am unsure if they are or not. Thanks MoldyOrange 01:53, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Most of them are taken care of now. Of course, I couldn't find a match for a link listed as "Magikarp (JP Promo 01)" (which would correspond to an unnumbered promotional Magikarp released in 2001, of which I could find none in the list)...--Shiningpikablu252 03:08, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- There was a Shining Magikarp (Neo Revelation 66). That could be what was being referenced to. it was in 2001. MoldyOrange 18:57, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Scratch that. It was supposed to be Magikarp (University promo)! They just screwed up the links. On this, it was linked correctly but on this, it was wrong...and they were talking about the same thing. MoldyOrange 19:00, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Not Sure
Not sure what to do with the page. Maybe I'll expand the manga section of article for Team Rocket someday, and make Neo Team Rocket redirect too Team Rocket -> In The Manga -> Johto section. But not now. For now, I think the Neo Team Rocket article should be just kept. --Maxim 18:34, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Mysterious problem
Okay. AetherTeen, a relatively new user, just edited Glaceon, but it doesn't show up on the page. Check the revision history, and the edit appears. Check the page, and the new text isn't there. What's going on? --ニョロトノ666 21:33, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- From what I could tell, nothing's wrong. The user only removed a trivia tidbit saying Glaceon was the first fourth-generation Ice-type to appear in the anime (that honor goes to Weavile). --Shiningpikablu252 21:41, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Sailor Earth
He's attempting to start his usepage on a talk page. He's saving his edits over and over again. Isn't that the reason why we have a ban on userpages? Please look into it. --☆ケンジガール 22:24, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ugh. Sorry, this is my fault. I told him some people are starting their userpages on their talk pages, and that it should be OK as long as he didn't edit it too much (the discussion's on my talk page). I guess I wasn't clear enough. I won't be doing that again, though. Sorry. --Martonimos((Talk)) 22:55, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
