Lyla (Japanese: ライラ Lyla) is a recurring character who first appeared in Narrowing the Chaser Chase!. She is one of the Challengers taking part in Project Mew.

History

Lyla and Sterling

Lyla was first seen approaching Sterling after he had defeated two other Challengers whilst taking part in the battle royale Trial Mission at Sea Mauville. Lyla proposed teaming up with Sterling to pass the mission, which he accepted. They continued to explore Sea Mauville, defeating fellow challengers and evading the Roselia and Magby that Danika unleashed to make the mission harder.

Later, they came across Goh and Horace and made them think that Lyla's Liepard was injured. This was soon revealed to be a trick, allowing Sterling and Lyla to attack Horace's Gardevoir, causing it serious damage. Lyla teamed up with Sterling to battle Goh's Inteleon, but Goh was successful in defeating Liepard, causing Lyla to fail the mission. Lyla then joined with all the other challengers when Danika and received a video message from Quillon.

In Chasing to the Finish!, Lyla appeared at the Split-Decision Ruins, where Gary and Goh were taking part in a Project Mew mission. Afterwards, she watched as they took on an Regidrago and Regieleki, which they proceeded to catch, completing the mission.
