Having arrived in Cianwood City, Gold and Chris part ways with Lugia. Gold wonders were the pharmacy is. Gold's Tyrogue uses Rock Smash to keep a Pokémon from rolling. Chuck praises Gold and does the rest of the job. Chuck's Poliwrath gets hurt when the Pokémon's owner rolls on top of it and Chuck. Chuck brings out a SecretPotion. Gold and Chris are enthusiastic and tell him why they came but he explains that the pharmacy was closed. Gold acts as a Gym Leader. Black later comes to challenge. His Xatu gang up on Gold Tyrogue and use Peck. However, Gold manages to win: Black calls his Xatu "weakling" and swears not to lose next time. Eusine suddenly appears and says Gold's Pikachu is his from the future.
