Ed Sheeran appears in the animated music video for Celestial. In it, he goes about a day in the United Kingdom, assisted by a number of Pokémon. He is woken up by Pikachu's shocks and cooked breakfast with Charmander. Charmander wound up lighting a fire, so Sheeran and a Squirtle doused the flames. Afterward, Ed Sheeran enjoyed eating a meal with all three Pokémon and a Slowpoke.
Ed Sheeran walked outside and started doodling in his notebook, which distracted him from an oncoming car while he was walking across the street. While the warnings from the Pikachu he was drawing failed to catch his attention, a Snorlax appeared to bounce both Sheeran and the car away. Ed Sheeran landed in a park, where a Lapras rose from the lake and splashed him with water. The Lapras took Ed Sheeran across the lake, and he headed up some stairs.
After a while, Mr. Sheeran ran to the top of a hill, where he sat on a rock and admired a group of Bulbasaur causing the flowers to bloom. Feeling inspired, he sketched in his book some more. He felt quite accomplished by the end, cheering against a starry sky.
Ed Sherran ran back into town, but a Charizard gave him a lift directly back to his house, where he found that his music equipment room was somehow set up before he entered. Sheeran took some time to play his guitar and sing while Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Slowpoke, and Mew danced and handled some of the equipment.
Ed Sheeran later flew to New Island using Charizard, aiming to stop Mew and Mewtwo from fighting. He sent out Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble, and all of his Pokémon worked to defend each other from the debris from the Legendaries battling high above. His Lapras created an ice slope that allowed Ed Sherran to reach the clashing Pokémon, but Sherran's pleas went unheard as he was struck by attacks from both Mew and Mewtwo that erupted in a massive explosion that even engulfed his other exhausted Pokémon.
Ed Sheeran woke up on his couch, just barely catching a peek of a Pikachu sneaking into his Game Boy Color. When he picked it up, a Hypno came out from the screen and used its pendelum to put Ed Sheeran back to sleep.
