Overview

Exceed is known for doing research involving Trainers and Pokémon and how to improve their way of life. This motivated the company to seek out several people passionate about Pokémon on its staff.

Despite being a legitimate company, the company Exceed carries out research involving several employers, one of these employers used the company to research a material called Rakurium.

History

Pre-series

The "Eternal Blessing" Project

Friede was an ex-employee who worked as a researcher. He eventually quit his job to become an explorer, later forming the Rising Volt Tacklers.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series

In Quaxly, We Can Do It, Spinel used an Exceed freighter as a base of operations while in possession of Liko's pendant. Liko, Roy, and Dot infiltrated the ship and faced Spinel in order to retrieve the pendant.

Exceed first appeared in HZ054, where Friede and Captain Pikachu visited the company to find more information about Terapagos and Laqua. Spinel was shown working as a researcher and stole the Rakurium that was being researched on before Friede could get to it.

The Exceed security team were unnamed characters of the day who appeared in HZ054.

As Friede continued his investigation, he clashed with them due to both of them work with Explorers and allow Spinel to removing Eternal Blessing's data from the building. After that, Friede fled with Charizard, leaving them all behind.
