Welcome
Welcome to Bulbapedia, MathijsP!
As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:
- For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
- The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
- The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
- The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a captial B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
- The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
- On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
- The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
- If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
- A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
- If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:MathijsP/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
- A list of the admins that you can contact in case of a problem, can be found here.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here! Tina δ♫ 16:34, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Edits
The trivia edits on contest moves aren't very notable, there are tons of Pokémon that have X of Y number of moves belonging to some Contest category, that's a given. File:Ani444MS.gif~Kenn File:Ani444MS.gif 14:54, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Couldnt you just say that?
Link Templates
Also, use link templates when you make edits. Instead of [[Finneon]], you're supposed to use {{p|Finneon}}. The former redirects to a disamb page while the latter links to the Pokémon itself. Check under the list of Shortlinks. File:Ani444MS.gif~Kenn File:Ani444MS.gif 14:59, 27 March 2008 (UTC) OK
- We use link templates for more than just Pokémon, you know. For example, {{t|Poison}} instead of [[Poison]]. I'd recommend looking through every detail of the shortlinks as if it were the Bible. --Shiningpikablu252 16:53, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
I know and I was already fixing it.
Signing Off
Please use four tildes (~~~~), preferably preceded by two dashes, to sign your posts. The code can be entered from the formatting bar on top (second from right), so you don't have to type it out each time. --Shiningpikablu252 16:16, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Weedle
No, it only has two moves, that doesn't make it notable. ~ kenn Talk 22:40, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Raichu
I didn't put those things on Raichu's page, I took them off. User:Forthelulz is the one who put them on. I've reverted all five of his edits so far, and I was hoping TTEchidna would block him before he could make any more. Luckily, he's been inactive for some time now, so I guess he's done for the night.
That said, this is the second time I've gotten in trouble for someone else's edits. Are you having trouble viewing the recent changes? Because I'm growing tired of it. If you'd like to help me stop this vandal, then please, go ahead, but please do your homework before pinning the blame on me.
I don't mean to sound offensive, but as I've said, I'm getting tired. Thank you for your time. --Martonimos 07:16, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I hope you don't mind, but I'd like to edit your comment on my talk page. The content wouldn't be changed, but it wouldn't stretch my page so far horizontally. As long as I don't change what you said, I don't think I'm breaking any rules, but I want to make sure it's all right with you first. --Martonimos 20:43, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Bulbasaur
Don't you remember Gilbert from Journey to the Starting Line? He chose Bulbasaur! That makes it 3 trainers that own a Bulbasaur!--Kuki 15:10, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
May don't get her Bulbasaur from Professor Oak.
But the trivia did not say they got it from Professor Oak!--Kuki 15:13, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
We ask a mod so he can make a decission.
WHAT DID U DO????--Kuki 15:34, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I forget that it isn't notable anymore because there are two starters.

Ability Pages
Hey hey hey! If you're editting the Ability pages, then could you also change the Header sizes so that they are one size smaller? So single Headers (=) to double Headers (==) and double headers (==) to triple headers (===)? Thank you! TESHIGIGAS 12:23, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
I will do it by the ones I edit.
Signature moves
Why are you erasing them? Please stop. Zurqoxn 07:59, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm erasing the moves that aren't really signature moves. MathijsP
- How are they not? The page specifically says one Pokémon or a very small select group of Pokémon. Zurqoxn 08:09, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sometimes there are around twenty Pokémon which can learn the move
- Octazooka has only 1, same for Pain Split, Poison Tail, and Teeter Dance, Transform has only 2, Ice Ball has only 1 family, etc. Zurqoxn 08:22, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey
Sign off with four tildes (~~~~) because you are inadvertedly creating links to the page MathijsP instead of User:MathijsP. It shouldn't belong in the mainspace... but you accidently created those links. MoldyOrange 16:26, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Drew/Solidad cameo pictures
Yes. They are useless. Do we put pictures of Misty, Tracey, Max, Gary, Ash's other rivals, May's other rivals, and Dawn's other rivals cameo pictures every time they make a two second appearance? NO! All we need to do is mention it. We don't need to display it. --☆ケンジガール 07:31, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Kenji-girl clearly said it's useless. We don't need it there, if A Gymm Leader (Say.....Erika) Makes a cameo, Would you add the pic of erika's cammeo in the Article??.No. Cause it's useless. Force Fire 10:18, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
If you want to change correct capitalizations to incorrect ones...
You're best off doing them all at once, not one at a time. Trust me, the revision history of pages such as Battle CD would look quite cluttered if you nickel-and-dimed your edits of changing correct capitalizations (i.e. Featherdance) to incorrect ones (i.e. FeatherDance). Trust me, it's usually preferable to do stuff in one edit as opposed to many edits. --Shiningpikablu252 15:39, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Excuse Me!
Hi,I have just reverted an edit you made to my talk page.Next time please ask before you change this is your only warning.Further unauthorized edits to my talk page will be reverted on sight.User talk:Agent008
- The edit in question was fully authorized as per Bulbapedia standards. MathijsP was doing a service in removing content more fit for the User namespace. I really don't want stuff like this to degrade into an edit war. --Shiningpikablu252 17:38, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
Latias δ and Latios δ Holographic Cards
Please don't change the listed Pokémon on those two cards' Poké-BODies. They're supposed to reference the opposite-gendered Lati, not the same-gendered Lati. Maybe if you'd looked at the cards' images first, then you wouldn't have made those edits in the first place. --Shiningpikablu252 15:13, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
