Aggron (Japanese: ボスゴドラ Bossgodora) is a dual-type Steel/Rock Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Aggron resemble huge black and gray lizards. They stand on their hind legs and use their arms to attack opponents and pick things up. They have a thick, long, black tail that they can swing at enemies and they have large armor plating on their body and head. Huge horns sprout from their extra-thick skull plating, providing extra protection. Their upper jaw extends beyond the lower in a small point.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Like Steelix, Aggron's only real special ability is its incredible defense. And unlike other Template:Type2 Pokémon, Template:Type2 attacks are not super effective on them because they are part Template:Type2.
Behavior
Aggron are very protective of their territory. They are strong and large and behave in several different ways. The first way in which their behavior can be seen is with their territory. Aggron will claim huge areas of land as its territory. Then it will patrol it day and night to make sure no unwanted Pokémon come marching. If a Pokémon is foolish or arrogant to march into an Aggron's territory, Aggron will fight as hard as it can to defeat the intruder or drive it out. However, Aggron are very caring. If their territory is damaged by a flood or a forest fire, they will take trees and plants to fix everything, making it nice again. Finally, Aggron, like many Pokémon (especially Kangaskhan), take care of their young. Aggron will defend their baby Aron with their life to make sure they survive.
Habitat
Aggron will claim an entire mountain as its territory. Aggron will patrol their territory day and night to watch for intruders. It will attack any intruders found with its full strength. Despite this, Aggron is surprisingly caring. If a landslide or fire destroys its habitat, it will carry in topsoil and plant trees to restore the beauty of the mountain.

Trivia
- Aggron's Template:Shiny2 form is slightly reminiscient of Godzilla.
Origin
It may be based on a triceratops (a type of dinosaur). It could also be a steel variant of Rhydon.
Name origin
Aggron's name is a combination of aggressive and iron. It may also be based on aggrandize (to make larger), referring to its growth as a result of evolution. Its Japanese name may be a combination of boss and dragon.
