Release information
- In Japan, this card was reprinted with different artwork by Ken Sugimori. At the 1999 Tropical Mega Battle tournament, those who were not in the main event could still battle each other, earning stamps for every battle they participated in. Those who completed their stamp booklet were awarded either a Moltres, Articuno or Zapdos at random in a sealed envelope.
- The non-holographic version of this card was reprinted in the Legendary Collection reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan.

Trivia
- The Phone card promo is slightly longer than a normal trading card, as the print had to adopt the same dimensions as a regular Japanese phone card. That print utilizes the same stock Sugimori artwork of Moltres that was later used on Rocket's Moltres from Gym Heroes.
Origin
Wildfire's Japanese name, Yamayaki, refers to a Japanese festival in which withered grass on a mountain is burned. The card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue Versions, though it is slightly reworded. Template:Project TCGDex notice
