How come you put your talk page archives in the User:
name space? DCM asked you this before, but you never answered. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 02:49, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- What do you mean? I was just asking Geo a question. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 02:53, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- Merely habit, Chocolate. There's really no set place that Archives should always go to, they just need to stay in the correct userspace. And to me, it looks weird to have a talk page with no article, so I simply move them there when I archive.
- ...Did DCM really ask that? I must have missed it. *digs through his archives* -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:56, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- Okay. And yes, DCM did ask that. Here. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 02:58, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

I got a problem adding Sigs...
Hey-o, I was gonna try to add a custom sig, but whenever I put in the HTML code into the Signature section of my Preferences, it keeps saying Invalid raw signature.
I put it in like this, right? : --Dark Boye . I have no idea, I'm just really tired to figure it out right now... Boye 08:32, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Try using this code instead:
<span style="color:red;">Da</span><span style="color:black;">rk Bo</span><span style="color:blue;">ye</span>
, remember to also select the Raw signatures box. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 09:50, 27 January 2009 (UTC)- Ok, Thanks! Uh, is there a specific code for underlining or font size? Dark Boye 03:12, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- You can use
<small></small>
to make things smaller, and<u></u>
will underline. There's also the option to use<font size=3></font>
to change font size too (the number there adjusts the size), but do note, that's disallowed for signatures, as making the text any bigger would disrupt line spacing. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 04:55, 28 January 2009 (UTC)- Oh, ok. Is there a different way to bold the Sig other than the usual? Dark Boye 06:28, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yep, use <b></b>. Probably could put it in a <span> clause as well. Hope I helped (on Geo's behalf, anyway)! — THE TROM — 08:19, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yep, you've got this, <b>this</b>, and I believe the span class trom is thinking of would be <span style=font-weight:bold;>this</span>. Generally, the first method is the best if you're trying to make a signature, since you'll use less characters then the latter methods (always good for trying to fit a big signature into the limited space you get in preferences). But they all work just fine. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:00, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Signature Help
CoolPikachu! told me you were the one to go to for help with signatures. I need the very basics. I just want a signature with a few colours, bold or italics and have the start of my name link to my userpage and the end link to my talk page. Explain in simple terms please as I am pretty bad at HTML. Thank you! - unsigned comment from Zephy.Changes (talk • contribs)
- Well, first things first, you can sign with four tildes ~~~~. By default, it's a pretty basic link to your userpage; generally, if you're going to customize it, that coding is a good place to start.
- In your case, you would have this: Zephy.Changes
Zephy.Changes
- If you wanted to, say, customize it a bit, there's a bunch of options...
- Mayhaps something like this: Zephy.Changes
<font color=purple>Zephy</font>.<font color=darkblue>Changes</font>
- Dunno what colors or design you'd like, but perhaps that base gives you something to base off of... just note that when you put that into your Preferences, make sure the "Raw Signatures" box is checked. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:25, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Administrator Status
In order to keep our Administrator list currently up-to-date, this is a generic "are you there" message.
You've been assumed as currently active and are already marked as such, but if you disagree with this, either edit the List of administrators to reflect your status (Active, Hiatus, Inactive, or Generic), or reply here when you get the chance. -- MAGNEDETH 01:46, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- I would do generic, but the generic color scheme is really ugly. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:03, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- problem is, if we spice up the generic colors, would that make it un-generic? -- MAGNEDETH 22:35, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, thus making the point of having generic colors null and void. So I'll keep myself marked as "active" instead. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 23:20, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Could you help me please
I can't quite seem to get this to work:User:MisterE13/Template:Unown. If you need any explanation of what the code is supposed to do, I can give you one. Also, there's already a mainspace page for it so don't bother making one.--MisterE13 22:01, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yeh, an explanation would be good. Just a guess, it displays Unown sprites... based on the day/time? -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:05, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's supposed to do the day/time thing (mod 28) and if it's between 0 and 25, it displays the Unown sprites (with 0 being A, 1 being B, 2 being C...). Or, if the original calculation was a 26 or 27, it's supposed to display this Template:Sprite/forme/noappear. The mainspace page is here: Template:Sprite/2/26formes but it's not as davanced as my subpage that I gave you up there.--MisterE13 21:44, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- I think I see the problem then. The #switch: function automatically assumes pipes | and equal-signs = are option dividers; since you have a full table inside the #switch:, it's entirely broken up. You'll need to replace every pipe in the table with the

template (that just sticks a | in there, but doesn't mess up the code). I'm looking, but I don't know if we have a template for the = symbol... we should probably, but I don't know where it is. - A work-around would be to make that template into two seperate ones, one having the switch, the other having the table. That way, you can transclude the table into the switch, without breaking the switch code. It might be a little unwieldy, though. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 21:52, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- I got it to be made and replaced everyting on the page (even the stuff outside the switch, I was lazy :P) ). Can you see if anything else was wrong.--MisterE13 02:06, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well you do need to keep some of the pipes in there, so the switch works. I'll take a look at it. =P -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 15:28, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

- Fixed it, I think. For one, like I mentioned before, you do need some of the | and = to stick around, so the switch works; it's just the extra ones that need to be transcluded.
- Secondly, it took a little while to realize, but the switch options were only triggering on 25 and 27, and not on anything in-between; turns out all the extra options you had were actually being counted separately, so if it happened to choose, say, 15, it would use that option exactly. As a blank spot. So I got those working as well.

Poison
Sorry, just had to do it. Besides, the food poisoning incident has been interfering with me this week, so it was at least semi-appropriate. (And I did "poison" instead of "poisoned" because it would have stretched out the table otherwise). --((Marton imos)) 21:08, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

He told me that I technically do have the authority to make myself the project leader of a project, and seeing as it's not a top-level project, AND I'm the oldest active member still in it, I figured it wouldn't be a problem. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 15:17, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Ash's Chimchar
I agree with your opinion on protecting the article, however, I believe that you should higher the protection level. At this moment, any registered user is able to edit it, and it's not that hard for an account to be created. Therefore, I believe that you should upgrade the protection level so only administrators can edit it, just to be safe. --Theryguy512 18:38, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
- The semi-protection also limits editing to users who have had their accounts for four days, which generally cuts down on a chunk of gun-jumping edits. But I've got the page on my watchlist, if we start getting more edits to the article, I'll definitely bump up the protection level, no worries. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 16:35, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Project MoveDex anime section
I'd like to suggest that the "In the anime" section be moved down below the list of ones who can learn the move since practically everything above it already is game-related. See Aerial Ace for example. *tc26* 10:46, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm, below the learnset list is a long way down, but yeah, with the new "in the anime" section style, I think it would be needed. I'll update the style and formatting section of the project accordingly, we can move the section as the templates are added in, I say. (we are using that new template from now on, right?) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:21, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- On that note, since you're still working on the template if I'm not mistaken, I'll wait before I update anything. But I've updated Aerial Ace as you suggested; we'll use that move as an example for now. When the template's finished and everything's agreed on, you've got permission to edit the style and formatting on the project page yourself.
- If we're going to list the anime section way down after the learnsets, however, that leaves us a bit of room; I'd suggest making the template centered on the page instead of to the left, since it won't need to worry about colliding with the normal move infobox anymore. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:28, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Shadow move damage category
ht14 brought this up to TTE and he OKed it. I figured that, since you're the creator of template:moveinfobox you would be the best one to fix it.--MisterE13 01:52, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I need to get to work on that. The template already has the damage category in there for Shadow moves, but it's hidden by default; I can simply remove the code that hides it. Small Question
Hello! I have a small question about area pages... If a Pokémon appear in a certain area in two (or three) games of the same generation, with the same rate but at different levels (it happens a lot in DPPt), how am I supposed to put it? To clarify, here comes an example. Lets assume that in Cave X, only Zubat appear, at level 5 in Diamond and Pearl and level 7 in Platinum. Which of the following is correct?
Pokémon | Games | Location | Levels | Rate
| |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Zubat | D | P | Pt | Walking | 5,7 | 100%
| |
A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here. |
Pokémon | Games | Location | Levels | Rate
| |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Zubat | D | P | Pt | Walking | 5 | 100%
| |
Zubat | D | P | Pt | Walking | 7 | 100%
| |
A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here. |
I've been using the former rather than the latter, because it was the only one I've seen until a few days ago... Like, on Snowpoint Temple and Route 6 (Meowth, at night)... --Mr. Charlie 12:09, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm. I'd say the latter sounds like it's more useful, but I'll need to look into it; surely we have a style guideline we use for such instances. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 23:35, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'm fairly certain we don't, Geo, but the second is much more preferable. That's why we have the option to color different boxes after all. — THE TROM — 00:04, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- I've been told that the latter is the correct format; if the same Pokémon is found at different levels in different games, then it gets two entries.
