The goal of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is to be just as international as Pokémon itself, and helping aspiring Pokémon wikis in languages we don't yet have is a great way to help achieve that goal. However, if we don't even know who the possible aspirers for Encyclopaediae Pokémonis's ninth language even are, there's no way any growth can take place. If you speak or understand a language that's currently not represented in Encyclopaediae Pokémonis and happen to find a wiki in that language with aspirations to join Encyclopaediae Pokémonis, then don't hesitate to drop me a line. Remember, an aspirier can't grow if they remain sheltered from the world!

If you understand Brazilian Portuguese, or know someone who does, then the Portuguese arm of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is in desperate need of your assistance. Many, if not all, of that wiki's articles are in dire need of improvement, be it massive cleanup or even adding some real content to begin with. Their sysops are never around to handle things, and their interwiki bot has done nothing since late September--of 2008. The fact that a trusted member of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis has fallen into such disrepair is disturbing, to say the least. Brazilians do not deserve quality this low. If you can help improve the Portuguese end, then I highly recommend you do so. Today.

I know that was the wrong way to move a page but the move failed since there already existed a page named "Barry". Is there any way to move a page despite that? J-J-M 16:31, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah. Whenever a page needs moved that can't be done directly by a normal user, such as the case of what needed to be done this morning, ask a sysop. Sysops can do whatever it takes to make the move successfully.
Don't worry about Barry, though. The steps necessary in his case have already been done. --Shiningpikablu252 16:40, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

A categorizing problem

Well a certain User called Capibara have due to someone's mistake landed his/her Userpage in the Other Tags category. I guess the mistake was copy-pasting something.I know you are one of the greatest contributer here and you will be able to handle this problem.Thank You --Prongs (TalkContributions) 15:43, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

GW

Um... I don't see how George washington is unnacceptable. I mean, who says he was gonna say he was GW? Say someone had the username "Elvis Lives." Would you ban HIM?--Totodilesentret!Talk to me. 16:15, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Funny you should mention Elvis, since there was someone who used the handle "Elvis Presley" blocked under the circumstances of impersonating a celebrity. As far as I can tell, impersonating historical figures is along those same lines.
In any event, the option for the user to create a real username was left open. That's standard procedure for one blocked for unacceptable username not known to commit vandalism or show intent to. --Shiningpikablu252 16:19, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Maybe you should unblock him for now. Who knows? He might end up one of Bulbapedia's most valued contributors!--Totodilesentret!Talk to me. 16:24, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Gen I games with color

You know how originally the main ones before Yellow were black and white? The Game Boy Color gave them color, kinda made them look like Yellow. I can play Pokémon games on my computer with an emulator called visual boy advance. I saw that some videos of Red or Blue are obviously on the vba emulator... and some are in black and white and some look like how the Game Boy Color made them. I tried everything to make my Red Version in color when I got it but it remained black and white... so I wondered how those people got color on those Red and Blue versions they played on the vba emulator... so that's it, to make it clear 'cause your answer wasn't really what I was looking for... here: "When playing Red Version on the vba, how do you get color?" If you know the answer, please help.--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 21:05, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

You don't. VBA emulates a normal Game Boy when playing RB, which gives the games no color. Yellow has a color variance depending on where you are, being lavender in Lavender Town, red on Cinnabar Island... and so on. But not Red and Blue. TTEchidna 21:25, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
But come on... For sure this is vba... How did he get color? I'm sorry this guy swear so much... I've seen quite a few others...--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 21:35, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Last I checked, VirtualBoyAdvance was able to emulate Super Game Boy features. Try Options→Gameboy→SGB. --Shiningpikablu252 22:42, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
I guess I'll try that and hope that it works... I'll tell you how it goes...--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 22:54, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Wow... it worked... thanks.--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 23:13, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Thought I'd like to bring to your attention his wonderful edit to Morty's page... ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 21:08, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Main Page

I have no idea who to talk to about this so I chose you because you're obviously a sysop (that protect you just did). So, could we try to do the FireRed and LeafGreen chapters in special for the "currently needed article" part?--Pokemonguy1 Pikachu! Do you think that this page is good (please answer on its talk page)? 02:40, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

We've done PS275 in that capacity recently. Having the FR/LG chapter available in the manga pool for "currently needed article" isn't a bad idea by any stretch of the imagination. Just don't overbug the experts and you should be fine. --Shiningpikablu252 02:44, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
We've typically just been putting the highest PS chapter from the wanted pages whenever we need one. But, the article does not need to be on the main page for you to make it. Feel free to take a look at which ones need to be made from the wanted pages or the volume pages, and make them. But, also, Coolpikachu has high standards, if you don't make them to his standards, he doesn't want you doing them. Furthermore, if you are just trying to get other people to make them so that you have more information to add to your Agatha's Gengar article, don't bother. We already said it isn't notable, and no manga information will save it now. MaverickNate 03:05, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

see Super-ancient Pokémon

As you can see, this image is HUGE!!! Can you shrink it please? Dolphins_are_awesome (and Vulpix are too)! 00:13, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Re: Edit war

You saw my edit summaries. I know what edit warring is, and I'm trying to avoid it, and instead will develop a consensus. Soiherduliekmudkipz 21:50, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

You're linking to a redirect. MaverickNate 15:34, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Better a redirect than a disambig. The primary purpose of my current project is linking away from the disambig unless one can judge the link should be to the disambig. Sure, there are redirects to disambigs, but relinking to a redirect is preferable than linking to a disambig when a specific use is intended...--Shiningpikablu252 15:38, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Help!

Sorry, but I need help. Can you tell my why some pictures of my 'The next episodes' section don't work (they aren't shown)? --×Impoleon xy× 16:20, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

You're not alone. There's a bit of server issues concerning images right now. You're best off looking on Archaic or TTEchidna's talk pages; more than likely, the answers to your questions concerning the matter are already on there. --Shiningpikablu252 16:32, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. :) --×Impoleon xy× 18:44, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

PokéBeach is in CamelCase. Even WPM wants that. MaverickNate 18:12, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Also, I would appreciate it if you would update the disambig pages before anything else, because you do a fantastic job at that. MaverickNate 18:56, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
I was just about to get back to that...--Shiningpikablu252 18:56, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Make sure that whenever you make a Pokémon card page, it has Category:Pokémon cards. You forgot it on the Rotom cards. MaverickNate 23:43, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Fixing redirects to Pokémon species

I was working on fixing redirects that linked to a Pokémon disambiguation page, directing them to the species article. Now that I think about it, I might be wrong in doing so. Should I revert them? --rockersk08 15:52, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes, it's best to revert them. Those that had led to disambigs are supposed to lead to the disambigs. --Shiningpikablu252 15:54, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

That Cervos guy

Keeps inserting speculation in articles. Block him? --AlphaTotodile 16:04, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Blocked IP

My IP is blocked but I've never added baseless speculation to a single article. Could you correct this, please? Randomspot555 18:15, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

They just did, as you just edited.--Mew* a.k.a. Prmatt11at 18:19, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Blocked IP, too

I've also been blocked, and I, too, have never added speculation (I remove it, often), nor have I been warned. Here is part of the message I received: Your IP address has been automatically blocked because it was used by another user, who was blocked by Shiningpikablu252. Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Cervos". The reason given for Cervos's block is: "Your shoe's untied: Won't stop adding speculation even when warned" Start of block: 11:16, 16 May 2009 Expiry of block: 11:16, 17 May 2009 Intended blockee: 75.126.149.175126.149.175, and the block ID is #3795. Jazzmoth 18:22, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Nevermind, thanks! Jazzmoth 18:25, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

My IP is not blocked and I don't commit any kind of behavior that deserved it, and that while I am participating in the HeartGold/SoulSilver discussions I am not keeping a close eye on discussions and not adding speculation. Though I am glad the block is gone since I couldn't contact you during the block. -Tyler53841 18:54, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

It wasn't you, it was Cervos. --AlphaTotodile 18:57, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Blocking IPs

We're now using a setup, with the new server, that means blocking IPs causes problems for everybody; please block usernames but not IPs.

Thanks! -- evkl (need to talk?) 18:31, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Thank you so much, evkl. Now back to editing. Also pikablu, got an account on the forums? --AlphaTotodile 18:52, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
