Trivia

Sheimi is the first pure Grass-type legendary Pokémon. This is the second event legendary Pokémon, which was thought only to be received at a Nintendo event. However in the Japanese version of Diamond/Pearl, it can be caught through a glitch involving Surf in the room of the first Elite Four member.

Origin

Sheimi is based on either a hedgehog or porcupine.

Name origin

Its name may come from the word shy.
