Masquerain (Japanese: アメモース Amemoth) is a dual-type Bug/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves from Surskit starting at level 22.
Biology
Physiology
Masquerain has a light-blue body with four rhombus-shaped "feet" that also function as the Pokémon's wings. Masquerain's head is shaped like an elongated teardrop and has a pair of angry-looking antennae.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
It is capable of weliding Bug-type and Flying-type moves, but is also capable of learning many Water-type and Ice-type moves as well. Masquerain also has patterns on its wings that it uses to scare off would-be attackers. It can fly in nearly any direction, but is unable to do this if its wings get wet.
Behavior
Despite its appearence, it is usually a peaceful Pokémon.

In the anime
Masquerain first appeared in A Fan with a Plan. Drew was seen practicing with it for the upcoming Rubello Town Contest, which was in the following episode.
In Destiny Deoxys, a Masquerain was owned by Audrey. The Eyeball Pokémon helped to rotate the fan blades of the windmills in order for LaRousse City's power to come back on.
Masquerain made a small appearance in The Rise of Darkrai as one of the Pokémon Darkrai hit with a Dark Void attack as the other trainers were attacking him.
A Masquerain made a cameo appearance in Old Rivals, New Tricks.
