>Isn't "tatsuu" also part of the Japanese word for seahorse? They're considered more of seadragons in Japan than in Western countries.

What is this?
Horsea is one of the few pre-generation III Pokémon to get an artwork update in Ruby and Sapphire, while notable others include Pikachu and Donphan.
I have the strategy guide of Ruby and Sapphire, I believe it's the Nintendo Power edition, and all the pre-generation III Pokémon had the old Sugimori art. Including Pikachu, Horsea, and Donphan. To my knowledge, no one got updated until FRLG. So I'm doubting the validity of this until someone can prove it to me. --ケンジのガール 02:58, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well, just put it on Donphan's page and say it was the only non-generation I Pokémon to get updated artwork for FR LG. CuboneKing 03:02, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- The thing is there's way more than just those... ht14★ 03:04, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- But not even Donphan was updated. According the Nintendo Power magazine, no artwork was updated until FRLG. --ケンジのガール 03:06, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- I had the official Ruby and Sapphire guide from nintendo power, and I'm pretty sure I noticed that Horsea had a vastly different artwork in that guide than it used to have. In fact, it's almost the exact same as it's FRLG art. More similar to the FRLG artwork than, oh, say, the two finned artwork of Generation I and II. Hence the part about updated artwork. - Yeah, you had it. I still own one, however. And I'm looking right at it now and I see Horsea's old Sugimori art. Hm... --ケンジのガール 00:09, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
- No, actually, I still have it. I suppose I'll try to scan it in during the weekend, and then I'll try and show you once and for all that it looks more similar to the FRLG artwork than with the old artwork. Weedle Mchairybug 01:19, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

I scanned that Horsea from the Nintendo Power RS guide. Anymore questions? --ケンジのガール 01:29, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
- Can you make that transparent and move it to File:113Horsea RS.png? MaverickNate 01:33, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
Grammar
In the Behavior section, the sentence ending in "to those who causes it" should probably be "at those who cause it." Also, it should be "coral reefs," not "corals reefs."--Trebligoniqua 15:43, 1 November 2009 (UTC
Male?
When was Misty's Horsea declared male? Someone should provide proof, but I can't because I don't have access to the episodes when it appears.--Muk-a-matic-Maketh the Muk go round... 05:15, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- First episode it's in, I think. Someone calls it a "he". —darklordtrom 08:19, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
In the original or in the dub?--Muk-a-matic-Maketh the Muk go round... 15:50, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Although this would be better off on Talk:Misty's Horsea, you could always try Cartoon Network Video. The episode in question is one of the 45 select first-season episodes made available on Cartoon Network Video.
