A Snubbull ran away from its home and followed Team Rocket (and by extension, Ash himself) around the Johto region for a short while. It eventually evolved into Granbull and returned to its owner.

  • Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Granbull hangs around Pokémon Square. Granbull evolved from Snubbull without realising what was happening, though it enjoyed its new appearence after getting over the initial shock. This event alerted the rest of the characters that evolution was now possible.
