Competitive (Japanese: かちき Determined Spirit) is an Ability introduced in Generation VI. Eight Pokémon can have this Ability.

Effect

In battle

Competitive raises the user's Special Attack stat by two stages for each stat lowered by an opponent, including the Special Attack stat, even if reduced by Abilities, like Intimidate. This does not include self-induced stat drops like those from Close Combat. Defiant will not activate if the user's stat is lowered by an ally in Double and Triple Battles.

Outside of battle

Competitive has no effect outside of battle.
