|
The fifth set in the Pokémon Ga-Olé Ultra Legend series was released on April 25, 2019. It features at least 67 standard disks and 1 secret disk. It is the fifteenth set overall.
Information
The fifth and final set in the Ultra Legend series completes the introduction of all Ultra Beasts in Pokémon Ga-Olé, which could be encountered on any course that featured an Ultra Beast Appears! icon within a certain timeframe. The Junkivore Pokémon Guzzlord made its debut in this set and could be encountered from the launch date until May 29, 2019. The final slot was taken by a new version of Naganadel, initially one of the first Ultra Beasts to feature in Pokémon Ga-Olé, and could be encountered between May 30 and July 3, 2019. Both Ultra Beasts are Grade 5 Pokémon.
The set includes several Pokémon that have three-stage evolutionary lines, including the Generation IV starter Pokémon and their evolutions, as well as the analogous families of Magmar and Electabuzz, which also make their Pokémon Ga-Olé debut. The set's primary launch course introduced new Grade 5 versions of Groudon and Kyogre, both of which will undergo Primal Reversion when they are brought into battle. Numerous Mythical Pokémon were also introduced to Pokémon Ga-Olé in serial courses available to play over the set's duration, with focus on the DNA Pokémon Deoxys in each of its four Formes, appearing as Grade 5 Pokémon. Grade 4 versions of Shaymin, Victini, Meloetta, and Diancie could also be encountered—Diancie could also be upgraded to Grade 5 with the ability to Mega Evolve.
Much like the final set in the Dash series, a special roulette could randomly activate in place of the regular Attack Roulette. The Mewtwo Roulette! (Japanese: ミュウツールーレット!) replaces the two largest attack bonus values from the Attack Roulette with Mewtwo symbols, and if successfully selected, will summon Mewtwo to attack with Psystrike before the player's chosen Pokémon uses its move.
Trainer and Battle Mode was available to challenge from May 30, 2019 and provided 5 new opponents for players to battle. Two new Trainers classes were included in the lineup and a new Battle Leader, Tanze, could be challenged upon defeating the other 4 Trainers. Promotional Dialga or Palkia disks could be dispensed for an additional ¥100 following a battle with Tanze, with 'WINNER' versions available to those who successfully defeated her entire team.
Machamp and Rhyperior were added as Support Pokémon from this set. Players registering a Ga-Olé Pass for the first time would automatically receive Machamp as a Support Pokémon as part of the Pokémon Ga-Olé Welcome Campaign.
