Pallet Town (Japanese: Masara Town) is where most trainers in Kanto start their Pokemon journeys. There, they can receive either a Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle from Professor Oak. Well, except for Ash Ketchum, who got the Magic Pikachu.
Other trainers who've left Pallet Town include Gary Oak, Hajime, Red, Green, and Blue.
