Pokemon Pinball

In the first Pinball game Bulbasaur, Charmander, Pidgey, Rattata, Nidoran (Male), Poliwag and Tentacool can be caught in Pallet Town, in the Red Zone, I believe this should be in the article, but I don't know where. Any suggestions, or is it to petty? --Spriteit 13:23, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Sign

In FR/LG, sign says "Shades of your journey await!" In G/S/C however, it says, "A Tranquil Setting of Peace & Purity." Which should we use? ^ht14 22:07, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Labels?

Hey I was wondering if we could place labels on the maps. That way if some new person who came here for maps would be able to know where certan buildings other than pokémon centers and marts and gyms. Mario Man

Mandarin Chinese Town Name Meaning

I think the names listed for this town in Mandarin Chinese (眞新鎮/真新镇) would mean along the lines of "Truly New Town". I researched it a bit and used my small amount of knowledge of the language and that's at least a close definition if not the actual one. The only ones I'm positive on are that the middle character in both names (both being the same) would mean "new" and that the last character on both names mean "town", despite those two being different. Its the first character on both and the actual structure of the name that get me, as I don't have much knowledge into actual grammatical forms in Mandarian such as adjectives. - JWhitt 13:06, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Don't Google for the HGSS maps if you don't have the actual game to check if they're real or not.. I'm not up to Pallet Town so I can't check, but you should really verify if they're real or just sprited before posting. →Tinā ^♫★ 17:26, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Name

Red and Blue are the two other trainers

Professor Oak in the anime is stated that two other trainers took Charmander and Bulbasuar. Gary was shown to have gotten squirtle in the anime, and Ash got Pikachu. Blue starting pokemon in the manga from professor Oak is Charmander, while Red is bulbasuar. Coincidence ? I don't think so. Ash and Gary are based loosely on Red and Blue in the game, while the other two are direct homage to red, and blue from the manga. - unsigned comment from Shonenhikada (talk • contribs)

Old Rod Fishing

I am training my newly hatched Eevee in Pokémon LeafGreen and the area around Pallet town is where the lower level Pokémon are. I wasn't having a whole lot of luck on Route 1, and so I decided to do some fishing. The first Magikarp I caught in the water in Pallet Town was at level 10. I thought I was going crazy, so I decided to fish some more (still using the old rod) and caught a few level 5 Magikarps and two Magikarp at level 6. So I decided to check out what Bulbapedia said about fishing in Pallet Town. It is listed that only level 5 Magikarp can be caught with the old rod. I Google searched "Pallet Town fishing in LeafGreen" and found one site that said Magikarp above level 5 can be found with the old rod. Headbutt Special Tree

In the HGSS, encounters for a "special tree" is listed. Unlike other special trees, there is no location given for this one, nor do the rates add up to 100%. What's up with this? WOLKsite (talk) 13:10, 31 August 2021 (UTC)

The "regular" trees also do not add up to 100, but instead 130%... This is also true for Viridian City. WOLKsite (talk) 21:05, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Japanese slogan

I am not fluent in Japanese so I could be wrong about this, but I think the translations are a little off.

Gens 1 and 3: マサラは　まっしろ　はじまりのいろ ... Here "まっしろ" is a noun, not an adjective, so it's not modifying the word "beginning". (If it were an adjective it would be "まっしろな" or "まっしろい".) I think the translation should read, "Masara is pure white, the color of beginnings." (Like the journey is a painting, and the painting begins pure white i.e. blank.)

Gen 2: マサラは　まっしろ　けがれなき　いろ ... same thing. "Masara is pure white, undefiled, a color." (I'm not so sure about that, but "まっしろ" is definitely a noun.)

Gen 4: まっしろ　はじまりの　いろ ... "Pure white, the color of beginnings."

Gen 7: マサラは　真っ白　始まりの色 ... same as gens 1 and 3. Dannyjenn (talk) 15:37, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
