Mimikyu ex Box
The Mimikyu ex Box was released on March 3, 2023 and came with a regular-sized and a Jumbo-sized version of Mimikyu ex, which originated from the Japanese ex Starter Set Quaxly & Mimikyu ex and was cut from Scarlet & Violet during localization and made into an SV Black Star Promo. The box also included a Mirage Holofoil version of a Greavard from Scarlet & Violet, a Pokémon TCG Live code card, and four booster packs.
Accompanying the release of the Mimikyu ex Box on March 3, 2023 was the Mimikyu ex Showcase. This product included the same Mimikyu ex promotional card sourced from the Japanese ex Starter Set Quaxly & Mimikyu ex as well as a Pokémon TCG Live code card and three booster packs.
Starting March 17, 2023, select retailers began selling the Scarlet & Violet Build & Battle Box for unofficial Prerelease Tournaments. Each box was packaged with four Scarlet & Violet booster packs, a 40-card ready-to-play deck built around one of four possible SV Black Star Promos, a deck-building tip sheet and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live. Boxes were later made available to purchase at retail stores from April 14, 2023.
Scarlet & Violet was officially released on March 31, 2023. Its launch was accompanied by a variety of blister packs. Single Pack and Three Pack Blisters featured SV Black Star Promos, while Premium Checklane Blisters were packaged with straight reprints from the Lost Origin expansion. Spidops and Espathra cards could be obtained from Single Pack Blisters; Arcanine and Dondozo cards could be found in Three Pack Blisters; and the evolutionary families of Gengar and Machamp were included in Premium Checklane Blisters. Both Single Pack Blisters and Premium Checklane Blisters also came with an extra-large coin. All blisters included a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.
A pair of Scarlet & Violet Elite Trainer Boxes were released concurrently with the Scarlet & Violet expansion on March 31, 2023, featuring either Koraidon or Miraidon. A single box came packaged with nine Scarlet & Violet booster packs, 65 card sleeves, 45 basic Energy cards, a Scarlet & Violet Player's Guide, six damage counter dice, one competition-legal coin-flip die, two plastic condition markers, four dividers and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live. ETBs also came with a full-art foil promo card of either Koraidon or Miraidon. The online Pokémon Center store also sold exclusive Scarlet & Violet Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes from the same day. Compared to the standard version, these boxes included two more Scarlet & Violet booster packs and an additional full-art foil promo card featuring either Koraidon or Miraidon with a Pokémon Center logo stamp.
