whoa, so now we can say that Turtwig's gonna evolve? why is this one suddenly Ok? --Mooites Talk to me, baby! 23:56, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

I ask the same thing... We don't do that when it is really obvious. I don't know a thing about this magazine/website and nothing says that we can trust. --Nick. 00:38, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry guys. I removed it. Even if it was proven, we shouldn't say anything until the episode airs. I don't know what Fabu-Vinny was thinking. And your right. We never state it even if a preview shows it so we DEFINATELY shouldn't go by some magazine. --ケンジガール 01:32, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
@ Nick: ...unless that person is psychic.--Tavisource 01:37, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Personally I think this getting really ridiculous. If we apply this logic then technically we shouldn't know of DP 100 or DP 99. I mean if tv guides are somehow lying (which I believe newtype is, and not some random fan created magazine) then we shouldn't have anything beyond the confirmed Aoi episode. I mean its ridiculous to pick and choose what "one" person wants. Either you believe in all tv guides and "all" their information, or we shouldn't believe them at all. Which means we'll need to delete the The Aaron and the Turtwig/Grotle/Torterra episodes because as far as the same logic goes none of them exists either. Seriously just because a summary says a Pokemon evolves its somehow questioned, but not any other information of other episodes. I'm sorry I don't like the "you can have it both ways" rule of Bulbapedia. Should we have a rule that says its not confirmed until the preview or until it airs. --Dman dustin 03:11, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
That would cause many problems...everyone would be fighting to edit the page all at once.--Tavisource 03:21, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

...You know, when three members of the editorial board add the same information, normally that's a sign that it should be in the article. Seriously, this is Newtype we're talking about. It's the most reliable source we have and the info from it has never been doubted before now. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 15:35, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

This is not for the source. I also think that Turtwig will evolve, OK, it's confirmed, but as Tavisource said, it is better do not put things like this so early, we don't want edit wars. --Nick. 16:17, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Fabu-Vinny, is not that I don't trust you, but the point is that we don't want an argument to arise. Once the episode airs or when the preview airs, then we can confirm the truth without any arguments.--Tavisource 16:35, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes, we did when it was minor things. But when it's something that's going to change the course of the anime, then it's best to wait until the episode airs. You're an admin. You should know more than anyone that we no longer announce evolutions, in any manner, before the airdate. Even when a preview basically confirms it we don't say anything so why should we do it because a magazine said so? --ケンジガール 07:05, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
And just because three people of the dditorial board adds the same thing, it doesn't mean it is 100% official. It just means that all three of those people believe the same thing.--Tavisource 18:22, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Episode titles and plot summaries are not "minor things". Nor it is just "what these people believe" - we don't put speculation in articles but Newtype summaries are not speculation. In addition, we don't move the article of the Pokémon in question but we do edit the episode article to reflect everything we know about it. Why has Newtype suddenly only become a problem now? --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 18:42, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Fabu-Vinny is right, the article even says: "This article is about an episode of the Pokémon anime that has not yet aired anywhere in the world. As such, it is a reflection of what is currently known about the episode, rather than coverage of the episode as a whole." Plus the fact that Paul's Honchkrow article says that it will appear in DP 100, this page says Ash's Turtwig makes appearance and Paul also appears, all that would not have been known had we not had a synopsis supplied by NewType. Okay more than likely Ash's Turtwig would've appeared in the episode even without the summary but Paul's Honchkrow? Or even Paul? Without the Synopsis, that would've just been speculation. But since you count the Synopsis for those things as not speculation, then why not Ash's Turtwig evolving mid battle? --Dman dustin 00:26, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

You're missing the point... There is no problem with Newtype. We don't say that a Pokémon's going to evolve before the air date, ever. There are times in previews where we see the Pokémon starting to glow. Now that's a dead give away right there. And we still don't say it's evolving until it airs. So are we going to change the rules just because a synopsis by a magazine said so? Their could be a slim chance that they might be wrong you know. Probably not but maybe. If you want to put in a synopsis than just leave out the part were it says Ash's Turtwig is going to evolve. --ケンジガール 00:50, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Everyone, just calm down and listen for a second. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia. Encyclopedias are to organize every ideas on certain things to provide info to those who view it. As much as I agree with F-V, we can't be 100% sure on things that happen in the future. Let's say I'm a fortune teller and can see the future. Once I look at something from the future, the future would be changed because I looked at it. So this example proves that nothing can be 100% official until it has happened.--Tavisource 01:18, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Ok, whatever Tavisource just said makes no sense. Anyway, weve never done changed something before the episode airs for any other character/Pokemon, so why start now? What happened to that great "wait for it to air before adding it" policy? --Mooites Talk to me, baby! 01:22, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Yep, Mooites, you basically summed up what I was trying to say.--Tavisource 04:47, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Picture

I have a picture of Ash's Grotle, oh excuse me, "A" Grotle from the preview of DP100. For the picture on the article. File:Grotleanime.PNG Dean

Too blurry and why would you get a picture of Grotle falling. Would you like it if someone got a picture of YOU falling?...just kidding, but it is blurry.--Tavisource 00:41, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
