Happy birthday to me!
Don't bug me unless it's really urgent okay?
- Urgent! This just in! It's TTE's birthday, I just heard. Congrats. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:15, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
I was asked to change my username
And Kogoro asked me to contact a bureaucrat to get it changed. I'd say it's urgent enough as she tells me to get it done within 48 hours.
(Funny that earlier, your talk page said "view source" but NOW it says "edit this page.")
I request that it gets changed to User:Tanaka Shimoya. Thanks. --Elohssa Naer'uoy 05:16, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- Was protected earlier since I just archived it. And I wanted to keep it from getting birthday bombed. No birthday wishes to me, please, I already get a clogged-enough talk. TTEchidna 08:07, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- As much as I like being controversial, I think it might be a good idea to request a name change to Ampere, as I've gotten some rap about my current one. Apologies if it's proper etiquette to make your own section for this. Captain Skank 02:21, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

As long as it's on your current talk page. Also, I don't think you noticed my explanation of the Cherrim one. I noticed that Cherrim's template was calling for 2 minisprites and figured that while it needs re-coding, I could fix one up that displays the bud sprite before the bloomed one.--MisterE13 02:21, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- There is no bloom minisprite. TTEchidna 04:44, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- That's why I made it and, like I said, since it was going to need re-coding, the regular sprites order should be changed to be more logical.--MisterE13 21:02, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Made it? What do you mean made it? TTEchidna 21:09, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Template:Sprite/4/2formes/1mini. I just made it because we currently have Cherrim's page trying to display minisprites for both its forms (one of which doesn't exist). Knowing that this would entail some re-coding of the template, I figured I'd make a new one that shows both regular sprites in a more logical order which would also make said coding easier.--MisterE13 01:11, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
- That's due to the bottom part of the coding. Which I gotta fix. TTEchidna 03:28, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
- And when you do that, you will have to set up a new option for the variable "gender" (ie. 2formes1mini) and since that is being done, you can also make it to display that new spritebox design (with the other order). If this is still a bad idea, feel free to remove that one from the list (which is still pretty hefty.)--MisterE13 20:52, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- Gender? Minisprites don't vary on gender. TTEchidna 21:03, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- Gender is the variable in the sprite template which controls the number of forms (ie.: Arceus coding says "gender=18formes"). A new option for this variable (such as 2formes1mini) will have to be identified to display only one minisprite. While you're doing this, this very same variable could display my new template. Or, if its really a bad idea, just delete it.--MisterE13 01:22, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey...
Due to the spading that occured, do we add damage categories for Shadow moves? ht14 21:19, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- I've suggested that to Jioruji Derako (the creator of the new template) he was unsure, however, about the use of the same category names for them.--MisterE13 21:50, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Pluto...
...is a plutoid. New heading. ht14 06:26, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
- Dwarf planet first, plutoid second. TTEchidna 15:28, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
- It should be stated then that both are in the article... ht14 20:50, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
- On Wikipedia? Well screw that. That'd be like saying that Mars isn't a planet, but a terrestrial planet. Jupiter and Saturn are gas giant planets rather than just planets. It's just a far more specific term, and most people are more familiar with the planet thing. "Plutoid, what the heck is that?" As much as I love astronomy, we're supposed to be the authority on Pokémon... TTEchidna 22:14, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
- No. I didn't get it from Wiki. I'm not referring to that...talking about THIS article...but, Pluto is. Plutoid is a new generalization... ht14 01:20, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

- Specific type of body that's like Pluto in orbit and other characteristics. Like terrestrial planet. Similar to the Earth in characteristics. TTEchidna 03:25, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Question...
Pages...can only the user know which ones are watched, or can admins see that? ht14 04:23, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- Well there's likely some way we could by going into the database, but from what I can see, it's not accessible from outside sources via strict wikicode. TTEchidna 04:36, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
TCG (game)
I haven't noticed any standards set in place for the TCG video game, yet. I'm curious to know what jurisdiction it falls under seeing as it's a video game of the card game (just to avoid conflict and confusion). Personally, I think it should be primarily considered a video game, and the TCG part should be secondary and merely referential. TCGdex has it's own section, and direct intervention of the actual TCG ruins the cohesion and integrity of the articles specific to the video game.
Also, I recently uploaded a complete collection of the TCG1 card sprites, and I'm slowly updating the info relevant info little by little. How do I go about making templates for the sprites so I only have to put in a compressed code? Thanks. Kusanagi87 13:50, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Spotless Gen III Spinda?
Here, for Spinda's Gen IV sprites, we use the ones that were programmed into the game (for an impossible personnality value of 0) and serve as placeholders. I thought it might be interesting to manually remove the spots from a Gen III Spinda's face. Although I know that it is technically fan-made, we could perhaps use this as Spinda's Gen III sprite. File:Spinda.png--MisterE13 18:41, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'm always against any fan-mades. If it was an anime Pokémon, we could use a fan-made sprite, but in the case of games, we use only official sprites. I think TTEchidna will agree with me. --Maxim 19:06, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sure it'd be possible to just rip it straight out a rom.. if there's one anywhere around.. Gywall Talk 19:24, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think spotless here was programmed into Gen III (although it is in Gen IV) which is why I made it.--MisterE13 19:26, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Pluto/Charon
Since the page is locked, a few changes need to be made. The first sentence doesn't list his Japanese name like all other character articles. Also, the trivia you added today, should that be a little more specific? Pluto is now called a dwarf planet (as stupid as that it). --HoennMaster 01:46, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

The News
Sorry to disturb you but in the lastest update to the Bulbanews section it is mentioned that Piplup uses an everstone to stay in its base forn. Shouldn't it be mentioned in Piplup's page. Otherwise we caqnt list it in the Bulbanews. --Prongs 10:16, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Then why is it in news? And there are many character pages with it will appear in episode so and so. --Prongs 10:27, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- Bulbanews is different from Bulbapedia. They can say what ever they want, when ever they want. The pedia is different. We're not supposed to mention anything that could potentially spoil an episode before airing. --ケンジのガール 10:29, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- News reports on what is said, Pedia just states what is factual up to the last aired episode. Remember, we didn't make DP116 immediately. TTEchidna 21:14, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- Also, an addendum (and not just to shirk responsibility), News is Argy's realm. She's the one who says what goes there. TTEchidna 21:58, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Form changes in articles
At what time increment (seconds, minutes, hours, days, years), if any, should Castform, Burmy, Wormadam, Shellos and Gastrodon change displaying the forms? They're the only ones left. I'm personnally thinking days (along the lines of Deoxys) for Castform, to demonstrate weather changes in a somewhat realistic time-frame, and maybe minutes for all the others.--MisterE13 17:18, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Guess What? It's Urgent
- And where should I start editing Mr. Bossy? I'm not that old, only eighteen, so I haven't the slightest idea what happened during the Orange Island episodes. If you could give me some pages that need cleaning up, I'd gladly go there and help out. Until then, I will suggest movesets no matter what you sysop say because I want to help people. So much ♥, Lapras 01:24, 22 March 2009 (UTC).
- OK, I know people have tried to explain this to you but I'll give it a shot. First of all, I'm younger than you and even I remember the Orange Islands. They probably assumed that you liked the Orange Islands since you like Lapras since that was when Ash caught his. Second of all, TTE here is not just a normal sysop/admin he's the editor in chief and, thus, pretty much th highest power here. Third off, this page's name (TTEchidna) is preceded by "User talk:" other pages (such as yours: Lapras) are preceded by the word "User:". These show which namespace its in (ie. User, User talk, and just plain "Talk"). Regular talk pages are used to talk about the article in question, User talk (like the page your using for an FAQ: talk page are used to talk to the specific user. If wish to have an FAQ page, please start a new one as a subpage (which is something many users like to have) such as: User:Lapras/FAQ or something similar. Anything without similar words preceding them are "mainspace". All edits take a certain toll on the server but only mainspace ones (and things such as templates) truly contribute to the wiki as a whole. We therefore encourage users to contribute to the mainspace more than most other things. We also try to limit ourselves to official information in the mainspace as much as possible. For example, unless Nintendo says that a certainmoveset is "the best", we won't put it in the mainspace. Once again, if you must put that, put it in a user page of yours. Just try to make more mainspace edits first;). Any more questions can be directed to my talk page (just click the "E" in my sig). - Even if Ninty says that a moveset is "the best" we won't but it as recommended; we'll just say that it's been said to be the best by Nintendo, and let people make their own choices.
- The best moveset for a Caterpie is Bug Bite, String Shot, and Tackle, since that's all it can have. Nothing else. But we'll let whoever wants to decide. TTEchidna 02:29, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
