I dunno but
Could it somehow come from "Mimic you"? I may be pronouncing it wrong, but I say it "Mimikk-yu" which sounds remarkably similar. Nutter Butter (talk) : , (UTC)

So do I and I'm sure the name will be kept that way as it just feels right.
