Thank you, and have a good time editing here! |
A couple of notes
First, it's pretty important to get to know how to use link templates. For example, instead of having to use [[Iris (anime)|Iris]], you can just use {{an|Iris}} which still links to Iris.
Second, make sure to write Poké Ball, and not PokéBall. Poké Ball should always have a space between it. Thanks for your contributions! --It's Funktastic~!話してください 01:09, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Reversions
When a staff member removes something you added, please do not simply revert them. Bring it to a talk page instead, please. The staff members know Bulbapedia policy inside and out, so they probably have an extremely good reason for anything they remove. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 20:31, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
Speculation
Please do not use random youtube videos as a source. Most of the stuff you find on the internet is likely to be fake. If you'd like to discuss these fakes, or speculate openly with other fans, please take it to the forums. Anything legitimate will be seen in official magazines such as CoroCoro, or on Pokémon Smash, or at events. However it's revealed, it will be from The Official Pokémon Company. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 00:29, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Userspace limits
Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User:
namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 23:44, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
I agreed with you About Sawyer Grovile
It should have its own page. Its showed in 5 episodes. I really not sure why can't we just do it. --SilverioBOMB (talk) 20:18, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Edit warring
If someone undoes your edit, do not add it back. That's edit warring, a blockable offense. Instead, bring it to the talk page, so it can be settled. Thanks! Berrenta (talk) 22:32, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- Edit warring is easily avoided via usage of edit summaries. That's why you have the option of adding them. If I don't get a reason, I'm going to add it back. If you have a problem with that, you can either block me, or start providing reasons. Nutter Butter (talk) 22:43, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
List of clothing in the anime
In the aforementioned article, I removed Serena's hat from the differences because I thought it wasn't different from her game counterpart's, not from her second hat (which is obviously different). Turns out anime Serena's hat has a lace that game Serena's hat doesn't, and I just didn't pay attention to that before. Since you already fixed my mistake there's no need to point out in the article, so I just wanted to point that out. Ratcicle Fan (talk) 02:48, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
- ah. yep. not sure what I thought I was reading at the time lol. At least my revert accomplished something. Nutter Butter (talk) 02:53, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
Lusamine
Yeah I know, but I was feeling too lazy to make a trivia section on Aether Foundation's page. :P MegaNerd18 (talk) 02:53, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
Legendary Pokemon
You do not have the final say on whether you can change that. Know your place. The staff is yet to make a decision on this, so have some patience.--ForceFire 04:15, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- uh, my place is a human being, and I think that gives me the right to slightly better treatment than you are currently giving me.
- The official word given by the staff was that they would not be listed until there was an official source referring to them as Legendary, which there is. Therefore, my actions were completely in line with what the staff told us. In fact, I actually took the extra step of asking if that order had changed. Since I was not given a response, I had no other choice but to assume that what we had previously been told was still fact and obediently go through with the appropriate action. Nutter Butter (talk) 04:19, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- When I say "place" I meant that you are not a staff member, you don't get to make that kind of decision. And no, just because there's no response doesn't mean you can go ahead and make the change. You only just posted it on the talk page at least wait a day or so for a response, have some patience.--ForceFire 04:24, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- that's, uh... really dumb? but okay whatever your wiki
- also, it's been over a day since I posted that with a lot of admin activity in that time. I refuse to be held responsible for doing something that was completely in line with what I had been told just because you don't know how to communicate. Nutter Butter (talk) 04:26, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- You made the first edit 41 minutes after you asked. You were told nothing about GTS being proof. You don't get to make the decision on it being proof and then making the change.--ForceFire 04:32, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- 27 hours since I initially asked. The edit you linked is not me asking, but me making a deduction based on what little information I was given.
- The official word was, and I quote, " they should not be referred to as Legendary until and if an official source explicitly describes them as such". As I have in the past been told by Jo the Marten about official material, and I quote again, "However it's revealed, it will be from The Official Pokémon Company." The GTS is an official portion of the games developed by The Official Pokemon Company.
- I am not accepting responsibility for this. I listened to everything I had been told by the official policies and the admins and made an appropriate decision. To avoid such problems in the future, I suggest that you communicate more clearly. Nutter Butter (talk) 04:39, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- The problem isn't whether we're counting the GTS as official or not, the problem is you making the decision to make the edits which you have no right to do, since that level of decision making should be left to the staff to decide.--ForceFire 04:46, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if you're one of the more aggressive admins or not, but you're getting dangerously arrogant. You place so much emphasis on Nutter Butter's status here that it makes it sound like you're asserting your superiority. Perhaps you think you're simply being rational, but there are other ways you could have responded. I shouldn't even have to mention bureaucratic inertia. I can understand your frustration, and that you probably hold pride in your work here. However, that in no way makes your aggressive behavior permissible. If your decision is that no average editor should be allowed to link UBs and Tapus to the Legendary page, then you could have locked those specific pages. If this reply gets me blocked, then so be it. Sucoleo (talk) 05:14, 17 December 2016 (UTC)

Attitude
No matter what your feelings may be about the exchange just above, you need to keep this straight: a deliberately provocative message like the one you just left on Force Fire's page is absolutely NOT appropriate. Don't make the same mistake again, please.
Thank you. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:08, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- It wasn't deliberately provocative. My lack of understanding of what I am and am not allowed to do causes problems, and since I have yet to be given a resource or explanation of what that entails, the only answer I could come up with was to just ask directly whenever I have an edit I desire to make. Nutter Butter (talk) 02:24, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- You're being a smartass. Don't push.
- Thank you. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:26, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- um...no, I'm pretty sure I'm not. I think I would know if I was since it generally requires a deliberate decision. Nutter Butter (talk) 02:27, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- If I may butt in, I think I would be likely to do the same thing as Nutter Butter here. If it is made unclear what one has permission to do, it's understandable to ask. Better to ask first than to be scolded after, I think. I'm not Nutter Butter and can't know their mind, but I think the intent was to get information, not to cause trouble.

- Tell you what, Nutter Butter. Don't think about it. If you still have questions a week from now (when it's Monday your time), try asking again and I might believe you. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:35, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- errr... okay? Does this mean I have to wait a week to edit since I still won't know what edits I'm allowed to make for a week? Nutter Butter (talk) 02:38, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- I'll go ahead and apologize. I've reached a point where I can doubt my initial impression, so: sorry.
- Help me understand then: what about your edit to Tirtouga made you uncertain whether it was allowed? Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:53, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- I had no particular reason, but I also had no reason to doubt that I was allowed to make the Legendary edits since it was in line with what I had been told. Since it was a kind of edit I had made and seen be made repeatedly, I assumed it would be fine, but more than anything I was hoping to get an additional response explaining what exactly makes it an okay edit that isn't present for inappropriate edits while also showing a desire to learn (which evidently backfired) and confirming my initial assumption. Nutter Butter (talk) 02:58, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- How about using this as a rule of thumb, then? If you've participated in a recent discussion on the subject and staff have said to wait or something, then, it may be a good idea to ask a staff member directly for confirmation before you assume they'll be okay with it. If there's not been any such discussion (as is the case with your Tirtouga edit), then don't worry about it. Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:10, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Works for me. Thanks. Nutter Butter (talk) 07:05, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

SI units
Just so you know, SI units are supposed to have a space between the value and the units (except the angle units degrees, minutes, and seconds). The space apparently represents multiplication. I'd recommend just read International System of Units#General rules, but you can check the cited source if you want (which I did). Including a space between the value and units of metric measurements is not just a Bulbapedia style, it's the official SI standard. --SnorlaxMonster 08:09, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
Champions in Generations
Just like Lance, Diantha is never stated to be the champion. If we take her being on stage as confirmation that she is Champion because that's what she did in the games as champion, than shouldn't the same count for Lance when attacking Team Rocket? - unsigned comment from DanyyelTR (talk • contribs)
- Well, a staff member added Diantha, so reverting that edit will probably get me in trouble.
- Also, don't forget to sign with four tildes (~) Nutter Butter (talk) 01:06, 24 December 2016 (UTC)
