Hapu's Golurk (Japanese: ハラ ゴルーグ Hāpuʻu's Goloog) is a Pokémon owned by Island Kahuna Hapu.

In the anime

Golurk was first seen assisting Hapu who was working in a field growing daikon. When Ash passed by with his classmates, he was excited to see Golurk and jumped into the field, only to be stopped by Hapu who accused him of being stealing the daikon. Ash tried to explain he didn't steal it but Hapu wouldn't listen and had Golurk battle Ash and Pikachu. With Normal-type and Electric-type moves having no effect, Golurk had an advantage and was soon after to defeat Pikachu with High Horsepower.

Golurk later continued to assist Hapu in the field when she noticed more of the daikon had gone missing and flew off on Golurk. They arrived on the beach where they spotted Ash confronting Tupp, Zipp, and Rapp from Team Skull who were responsible for stealing the daikon. Golurk watched as Hapu defeated Team Skull with Mudsdale and later flew Hapu back to the field once Team Skull had left and Hapu had apologized to Ash for mistaking him as a daikon thief.

Personality and characteristics

Golurk is shown to be a strong Pokémon, as seen where it was able to lift large daikon out of the ground. In battle, Golurk is strong as seen during its battle against Pikachu where it was quickly able to defeat it. Golurk is quick to follow Hapu's orders, as seen where it attacked Ash with Flash Cannon despite Ash's attempts to tell Hapu that he wasn't the thief.
