is a dual-type Normal (hex 8D)/Ground (hex 84) glitch Pokémon in Pokémon Red and Blue. As this was one of the first glitch Pokémon documented in the English Pokémon glitch community that contained Japanese text in its name, it was sometimes called "Japanese Symbol" by those unfamiliar with katakana writing system.

ゥ is in the same glitch Pokémon family as PC4SH, Glitch (DB), ゥ ', ♀Pゥ ゥゥT, PkMnaPkMnゥ ♂ fPkMnk, Pゥ ゥ ゥ, and PokéWTrainer. As a result, it shares several characteristics with them, including its Pokédex number of #205, base stats, types, starting moves, and TM/HM learnset.

ゥ evolves into Spearow at Level 9. Its Pokémon Yellow counterpart is ♀ . It can be obtained through the Time Capsule exploit with Meganium, or by trading ♀ . from Yellow.

It will always freeze the game upon encountering in the wild, so it cannot be obtained through the Mew glitch. Its cry is a slowed-down version of Psyduck's.

The back sprite is volatile the first few times it is sent out and will likely crash the game until it becomes constant. However, the result is random.

The video above showcases the back sprite's behavior.

Trivia

  • By setting addreses $A70F and $B30F to 0x08 will make the game not crash, but instead it will load a glitched trainer.
  • This glitched trainer will send out a level 0 'M (00), but flipped.
  • By viewing its front sprite by setting addreses $A70F and $B30F to 0x08 will overwrite the item, pokemon. Also, during a glitched trainer battle, using fight will take you to a glitched room resembling a robbed house from cerulian city then crash the game.
