Talk:Pokémon Red and Blue Versions
I just heard from a guy named Karasu on PsTK's forum that the reason the English games were called Red and Blue was:
They changed red and green to red and blue, to show their respects for America. Her national flag consits of red, blue and white. Game freak said so...
Anyone know if this is accurate? Ketsuban 20:48, 13 May 2005 (UTC)
>I had heard it was because in America, red and green are traditionally Christmas colors, while Red and Blue are generally shown as opposing (such as in gender seperation). - Zeta
Koffing Sprites
Can someone move that picture up? I can't get it there. Porygon-Z 17:33, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Argh, wtf is up with this page. It's acting as if there's a 'br clear="all"' somewhere. Driving me insane. Tina δ♫ 17:36, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Release Dates
Weren't the games released on 29 September, not 1 September, like it says in the sneak peek?--Hitmonlee 18:52, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- There is a lot of conflicting information about when exactly in September 1998 the US release was. Please provide more information about this "sneak peak". --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 18:10, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Skull & Bones
In the Koffing picture, it says that the skull and crossbones on the sprite of Koffing in Red and Blue picture is wrongly placed. How does this person know that the Red and Blue picture is wrong. Red and Blue is one of Nintendo's first Pokémon games. That might have been the one Nintendo intended to use, but they got mixed up and put skull and crossbones below the mouth... - Hazardous FIRE! 05:13, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- Because RBG's sprites sucked. They were the initial designs of the Pokémon, later improved. TTEchidna 05:39, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
10 years of catching goodness
Has it really been that long? I know the 10th anniversary passed a while ago, but... Wow, happy birthday RBY (and G, just so I don't leave it out. =P)! --Ricco 15:48, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- Nah, the 10th anniversary of RG was two years ago. This is the true anniversary of Pokémon going worldwide. And Yellow's tenth (Japanese) anniversary isn't until a week from Friday, with its English ninth coming in a month. TTEchidna 02:56, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Scyther/Pinsir
Aren't these two pokémon version exclusive in red and blue? Scyther cannot be obtained in Blue's Game corner (As the Scyther (Pokémon) page says) and it can also not be caught in Blue's Safari zone. I believe vice versa is true for Pinsir. Da Rammo 08:19, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
