Your rant on Wattson's edit summary

The main reason for people removing the held item fields... it's that you cannot write "Unknown" to that field, because that'd link to an irrelevant page "Unknown" (though it could be utilized also as a default fallback page for unknown items). It's the structure of the template that is the real problem. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 18:15, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about that...I was just annoyed that my edits kept getting reverted. I didn't write "unknown" though... ht14 18:28, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

{{HeldItems}}

Yeah, we've been having some trouble with that lately, where exactly do you mean in the Battle Frontier? The Pyramid (please note that my knowledge of Emerald isn't that great).--MisterE13 20:57, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Eggs

You have to input your Trainer ID on Pokemon Daisuki Club Website somehow and then you'll get special words that you have to tell to that Hajime guy in Violet City Pokécenter, for which you'll obtain the Egg. But I'm not quite sure how it really works. --Maxim 09:11, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Ok, thanks. ht14 13:01, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

If you want to help out

I just noticed that if want to help out with the berry updates you can go up the list and fix my previous edits on the berries above the Oran Berry and update both the Violet City and Fuschia City pages and I can handle the rest. -Tyler53841 17:07, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

I'm more of a jumping user... I have edits to make on the Archives. I'll try though. ht14 17:13, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
i.e. I don't focus on a certain topic for that long unless it's necessary. ht14 17:13, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Okay, and if I get done with the rest of the pages first then I'll start going over the berries first then those two city pages first so moniter the recent changes list. -Tyler53841
Project is completed, make any changes if you feel it is necessary. -Tyler53841 18:12, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
K. ht14 18:13, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
At least now you know that the berries are 1 of each type instead of 3 berries together which is similar to that whole Star Piece for Shards trade in Platinum. -Tyler53841 18:47, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
The thing is I don't know... I need confirmation. ht14 18:48, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Ask someone who has a copy of the game like TTEchidna since I know he has a copy and anyway I have to leave for almost 9 hours due to school related issues. -Tyler53841 18:53, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Same here... ht14 19:03, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

But anyway I corrected the remainder of the berry pages only because technically those (3)'s aren't really necessary after thinking about it so this bring the matter to a close. -Tyler53841 19:39, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Ok. It's all good then. ht14 20:34, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Manga

Huh

I don't quite get what you mean. Of course, Viz Translators left out the nicknames for all Red's and Blue's (girl) Pokémon. So did Chuang Yi until FR/LG Saga. If Viz ever releases FR/LG Saga (which I doubt, to be honest. I doubt if they release GS one at all) and Red's and Blue's Pokémon will still stay unnamed, then I think we should stop using Chuang Yi's nicknames for them. With Pika's exception of course, as his name was used in Viz's translations too. --Maxim 09:00, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Maybe I'm confusing myself with Viz and Chuang Yi... the thing is, if Chuang Yi also decides that Blue is a boy, not a girl, then the situation is changed. We're trying to talk about consistency here. If Japan already had those nicknames in mind (Sand, Kra, etc.), then we may as well keep the nicknames. ht14 13:45, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Kra

...are you sure about that? Can you provide a scan or something? It doesn't make any sense. Chuang Yi did not nickname Red's Pokémon until FRLG. I'm pretty sure you're wrong. --electAbuzzzz 22:42, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Wasn't this info previously there before? Maybe I'm mixing up Chuang Yi and some other translator... same with Vui. Is there any source for Vui? No? I saw a discussion with you and Maxim about that. ht14 22:44, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
The discussion ended with no conclusion. Until someone finds a source saying otherwise, Krabby, Sandshrew, and Diglett were not nicknamed. --electAbuzzzz 22:50, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
What about Vui? ht14 22:51, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
I doubt they nicknamed these minor Pokémon. Actually, they probably didn't even have nicknames in Japanese. Again, until someone can find proof - they're nameless. --electAbuzzzz 22:53, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, I read that as VIZ instead of Vui. I'm not sure, but Vui was a major character, the others weren't. It makes since. Leave it as it is. --electAbuzzzz 22:54, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Ok then. Yeah, I meant VIZ. ht14 22:55, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Supreme Victors

How do you know that Camerupt made it into Supreme Victors? did you see a prerelease scan? MaverickNate 03:52, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry... I didn't know... ht14

"wait until it comes out in poison"

No, that's not how we do things on pages such as Tentacool (TCG). With the possible exception of the Flying-type, we ALWAYS reflect both of its video game types on the page, even if no card representing one of those types has come out. If we were to do it your way, that would be implying that either Tentacool is a pure Water-type in the video games, or it never even has the possibility of being Grass in the TCG to reflect its Poison-type in the video games.

Trust me, the whole mentality of "dual-type Pokémon can only possibly have one type in the TCG" was completely disproven by Neo Discovery, with its Fighting Omanyte line and Poliwrath (both of which may have previously been associated as Water-only), Water Kabutops line (which may have previously been associated as Fighting-only), and Metal Magnemite (which actually was previously associated as Lightning-only, due to Metal not existing in Generation I sets), not to mention two Houndour within the set each of a different type. Simply put, if the possibility exists for a Pokémon to utilize its other game type, it should be reflected on the page even if no actual card uses it. --Shiningpikablu252 16:01, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Ok... I understand. ht14 16:02, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
However, I must make a point. Poison-type is now Psychic for the cards. What are we going to do about that, like say for Muk (TCG)? ht14 16:04, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
We've been changing them over. But pikablu is stubborn about it and constantly reverts it back to the incorrect type. All of the Poison types should now say psychic. The tentas should be water and psychic, for example. MaverickNate 16:50, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

carddex

Don't do it unless you can get the Japanese entry. And also, you only did one of the ones on Base Set Charizard. MaverickNate 15:27, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

K, but for the Base Set Charizard, I only did one because the other one said "length" instead of "height." ht14 17:12, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Upon reading the template talk page, I understand. But... how about the Trainer's Pokémon info then, provided the Japanese heights and weights? There are no Pokédex entries to worry about. ht14 18:49, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Everything is already taken care of. MaverickNate 18:52, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
As in you'll do it, or it's in the template, or I'm allowed to add the info? ht14 18:52, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
The first two MaverickNate 18:54, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
K then. ht14 18:55, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Ht14

Thank you for the help in the finalization of my article. This is my first article creation since being a member here. So thank you for the help. Please let me know what else I can change to perfect the article.

(:--TheLastCharmander 19:10, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

To be quite honest, I'm not sure if this article is notable or not. It's not bad though. Definitely categorize though. ht14 19:15, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
What do you mean by notable? And thank you. I'm still getting the hang of all this Bulbapedia stuff.

--TheLastCharmander 19:18, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

There are many articles that can be considered unnotable. It all depends on how significant it is. Fluffy Tail, for instance, in my opinion, is not significant, because it's weak... something like the Shoal Shell or AJ's Sandshrew is also insignificant... ht14 19:22, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh I see, I see. The Pokémon Journals are just one of my favorite aspects of the games. I think they're really cool and wanted an article on them. So I made one. It might be a little insignificant, but no harm done right? --TheLastCharmander 19:27, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
That's one way of looking at it... ht14 19:28, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Yeah I guess I didn't have good logic with it. But this is the only time I'll be writing an insignificant article. I just wanted to do a favorite of mine. - unsigned comment from TheLastCharmander (talkcontribs)
You know it it's insignificant, then it'd be deleted, right? But electabuzz didn't do anything, so I guess it's fine. ht14 19:50, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Regarding the Sandbox

Well at first I was trying to figure out what was wrong with the template for half Dragon-type Pokemon. Then I just started messing around cause I was bored... - Pokemega32 12:44, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Please don't edit my userspace.

First of all, you don't edit other people's messages. Second of all, you did it incorrectly anyway. It was meant to display "Trainer class", not "Double Team". Kthxbai.

Ok, so I made an error, but I'm removing the redirect. Please realize my intent. Besides, if you REALLY want to talk about rules and policies, you should have a link to your userpage... ht14 21:14, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Ugh. You're missing the point. You don't edit other people's messages. Especially not TTE's. He'll kill you ._. Sidnoea 03:25, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
...no I'm not...see the edit and the change...honestly...it's not even the userspace. You can ask TTE if you must. He understands what is going on, or will when you show him. ht14 13:34, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

What happened to my password!?

I tried to log in but the server told me that the password wasn't correct. I tried 5 times with the correct password but the result was the same, so I had to ask for a new password. Can you tell me what happened? --DarkSally(complaints department) 11:42, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Have you forgotten the password? you probably left out one character from the password.... or at the leat, you may have been hacked.--ForceFire 12:16, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
No, I didn't forgot my old password nor some characters. I've said it: I tried 5 times with the correct password... maybe the second hypothesis is right... However, I've changed password and I hope this won't happen anymore --DarkSally(complaints department) 12:48, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

What do you mean by categorizing pages? User:Magichair94 19:47, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

See the bottom of each main page. Usually, it'd say Category:<insert category here>. This is so users searching for a certain topic (such as Deck archetypes) will be able to find it. For instance, using the same example as before, the page you created was a deck archetype. Then it would be categorized as such. Look around the categories to see which one is required. ht14 19:54, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

And how did you find the page I was editing? You sent me the message about five seconds after I stopped editing it. Magichair94 3:25, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Warning users

Hi. Listen, it's great you wanna help us out, but there's a line you can't cross. What you just did with Wobbuffet97 isn't right. You can't say stuff like "you'll be blocked" when you don't have the power to back it up. When it comes to blocks, you don't have the authority to say stuff like that. We use our own judgement, and it's sometimes different than yours. And even if I had blocked him, I would've posted a message on his talk page anyway, so you would've wasted an edit anyhow. Please refrain from doing that. Thank you. --electAbuzzzz 21:57, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I got a bit out of control there... I read what happened... ht14 22:00, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Okay, and just so you know on the Generation I Pokémon I didn't get a chance to fix my updates of the new Stats header and thought Derien helped me earlier, the mess isn't completely fixed so start with Diglett and go up to Golem and finish what Darien had started. I'll start Gen IV now and you can finish Gen III so we don't bump into each others' work and when I go to bed in a few hours you can finish Gen IV if you want (Course the mess was only caused because I didn't know what TTE was planning until I saw his edit since I am also monitering updates). -Tyler53841 03:16, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Ok, but I should be sleeping. I'll do maybe a few more, and that'll do. ht14 03:18, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm not good yet on and dealing with the collapsible box yet to deal with the Pokémon that have multiple forms on the Pokéthlon stuff. If you are able to and have the time could you deal with the Giratina, Deoxys, and Wormadam Pokéthlon stuff, I'll deal with the remaining Generation IV pages and then redo the remaining ones on Generation I personally. -Tyler53841 02:29, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, the Deoxys one still has a few flaws though (Which is why I wished to ask for help since I don't the luxary of time right now to work on this template), but if you handle Wormadam then as I said you can leave the rest to me. -Tyler53841 02:55, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Well finally got down with everything I set out to do today and although the Giratina page is left to be updated on the Pokéthlon stuff I'm sure you or some other editor can handle the stats for the Altered and Origin Forme. But anyway thanks for your help on handling those updates and making my job easier. So I guess this concludes our business on this matter. -Tyler53841 04:37, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
I was able wasn't able to help with the rest of the encoding though I tried my best, but I got a few other users to clean up the mistakes for Deoxys and Shaymin. So now the project is truly complete. -Tyler53841 17:27, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

I don't know about that (its stubbiness). It's actually got a lot more info than most of the other glitch Pokémon articles... there isn't much else to say about it, really. Maybe more useless trivia about similarities to other glitches, but that's about it. Thanks for clearing that up, btw. ZestyCactus 01:14, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

*coughs*

Um.... without wanting to be a douche about this, there's no explicit need to be putting link templates on talk pages. Sure, it's the preferred way for articles but no huge deal whether its [[Palkia]], {{p|Palkia}} or even {{an|Palkia}} on a talk page. They're more of an informal area, y'know? —darklordtrom 21:39, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Just so we get rid of disambigs... ht14 21:40, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Having links to disambigs doesn't hurt the software. We use them for searchers, mainly, and if they get linked on a talk page it isn't the end of the world. In an article, though, it is important to have the right direction. —darklordtrom 21:44, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
I see... you do realize I've been doing this for some time now though... right? ht14 21:45, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

this is how it goes:

text text text text
<empty line>
==Next Header==
text text text text
<empty line>
==Next Header==

and so on. -- MAGNEDETH 02:05, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

==Header==
===Next Thingy===
Etc. That's why I did it that way... maybe I'll fix it so it is... sorry... My edits are valid. it was 2 of =, then 3 of =, then 4 of =. I don't know what's the problem... ht14 02:07, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

no, you were removing spaces before headers. it really scrunches things up in the edit box. -- MAGNEDETH 02:09, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
? I am confused. I've always done it this way... ht14 02:10, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
well, every time i edit trivia i always have to add those spaces. perhaps no one told you. as seen here where i re-added them. so, im telling you not to do it that way. is it really a big deal? no, but its still annoying when i go edit the spaces in, and then someone takes them out. so, dont. -- MAGNEDETH 02:14, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Alright, I've registered an account on the forums, username: Ender Phoenix. Despite the fact that I've only been editing the userspace so far, I've only been a user since the 27th of December and I am quite eager to help out with mainspace pages. --Ender Phoenix 23:28, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Good, good. I'll hope to see improvements. ht14 02:09, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
