"Welcome to Pokémon League, <name>. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Will. I have trained all around the world, making my psychic Pokémon powerful. And, at last, I've been accepted into the Elite Four. I can only keep getting better! Losing is not an option!"

"I... I can't... believe it..."

"Even though I was defeated, I won't change my course. I will continue battling until I stand above all Trainers! Now, <name>, move on and experience the true ferocity of the Elite Four."

In the Pokémon Adventures manga

Will, along with Karen, Green, Silver, Chermaine, and Keane, is one of the children kidnapped by the Masked Man and raised to be his servants. Will was one of the leaders of the new Team Rocket formed in Johto. After the defeat of the Masked Man, he and Karen met Koga and Bruno. Together, the four formed a new Elite Four and have not been heard from since.

Trivia

  • Will's hair falls over the left side of his face, leading to his left eye being whited out in some depictions. This has spurred debate as to whether he has one functioning eye or two. This is rectified in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, where his overworld sprite clearly shows two eyes, both obscured by white. His mask thus acts like those of Batman and Robin.
  • Interestingly, his Japanese name Itsuki is shared with a character from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Itsuki Koizumi, who is an esper. The Template:Type2, Will's preference, is known as the Esper type in Japan.
  • All of Will's Pokémon (excluding Jynx, for obvious reasons) changed from male in Gold, Silver, and Crystal to female in HeartGold and SoulSilver.
    • Similarly to Saturn and Bugsy, his Pokémon are the opposite gender of himself despite having a 50-50 gender ratio.
  • Will is the only member of the Indigo Plateau Elite Four that uses only Pokémon of the type that he specializes in in the first match. All others have at least one Pokémon not of their specialty in their first match, and, with the exception of Lance, replace the Pokémon not of their specialty with Pokémon of their specialty in rematches.
